Thinking of going around easter time. Have had enough of looking at all the anonymous reviews and thought I'd seek the assistance of the helpful folk on here. Basically want somewhere pretty central to the usual tourist spots and/or the main shopping area.

Any ideas or suggests folks?

Cheers

I'm reading "Rome" but hearing "Fairyhouse"; do I need help?

This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in anywhere, mainly because of the rooftop restaurant which has an outstanding view of the forum, Trajan's column and the monster Mussolini monument. Mind you it would want to be nice, because it's expensive.

Easter might be a bit early in the year for eating outdoors, though, and accommodation in Rome is near double the normal rate at that time. Unless you're looking for a blessing from the pope I would suggest you think about going to Rome on a quieter weekend in May or June, when you'd be almost sure to get outdoors weather.
