Huntingdon was my new track this year and very fine it was too. I've been to about half the tracks in the uk now and there are only a handful that I still wish to see.

Fontwell is definitely one. Let me know what you think ballydoyle but never heard a bad word

Went to Huntingdon last year (even presented a Prize!) and its a very nice country course.

Several people have told us that Fontwell is a great course too - and will let you know when I have thawed/dried out after (weather forecast is for showers!)

I'd imagine given who was in attendance there was a sizable female population there last night CL?

Glad you enjoyed the evening racing - love a twilight fixture.

There was a big crowd, as well as the fella from Home and Away in attendance, there was a student racing promotion and a large number of the Kilkenny Hurling team were there too.

Clivex - glad to report Fontwell a cracking course worth paying the extra for Premier (Members) as its closer to the lollipop and you get a much better view down / around the course.

Wouldnt mind going back if the weather / ground was better. It didnt rain whilst we were there but overnight was torrential and at least a third of runners w/d and ground turned from g/s to heavy.

I am going to visit Chester for the first time for the cup with Kians Delight, then Doncaster, Goodwood and Ascot of course

Off to BATH tomorrow for the evening meeting - Real Ale Festival and Queen Tribute band also thrown into the package :)

I'm off all next week and am thinking of getting a course in. Choices are:

Beverley flat Tues
Salisbury flat Wed
Worcester nh Wed
Warwick flat Thurs

Where would you go?

Beverley is a nice course - problem is it is well off the beaten track Euro, not that close to a motorway if you were needing a quick get away...

Not too far, train to Beverley and then I think it is about 2km walk tops from memory, I've been a few times on minibus trips with a group of lads. Some decent pubs in the city centre also...just watch out for the Beverley Sisters...

On 12 October I'll have a chance to go to either Windsor or Salisbury.

I've never been to either track, which one would you choose to attend?

My first visit to salisbury was a few weeks back. It's the best small pure flat course I've been to. I would just about suggest there but wouldn't put you off windsor at all
