I only saw the replay, but my initial reaction was that he'd had some sort of seizure going into the jump, because he didn't seem to take off; obviously didn't want to see it again..Jonjo seemed to think he was hit by another horse [or so I've read somewhere].

I have always thought the fences were tougher at Fairyhouse than anywhere else in Ireland. I think I remember reading or hearing that around 12 years ago, and it has been in my head ever since.

That's what i thought I saw but like I said, my attention to detail wasn't great at the time.

Tough fences there alright, i think they reshaped them a few years back though to be more forgiving, but i thought i heard the other day someone on one of the racing channels saying they were back very tough again.

Never seen any of the racing yesterday as busy with work commitments, but i cant believe what has happened to witchita lineman, i loved that horse, don't know why but sometimes you just latch onto a horse. Last time i felt this bad was Detroit's`s fatal race.

Spoke to the winning jock today who thought that the fences were huge. They are extremely well packed and are not very forgiving.

Must admit I am not that acquainted with the fences there, but they did look pretty scary, like those at Haydock.
