Only just caught up with this - many congrats Paul, she looks a little smasher!

DO - yup, that's wimminfolk and queeahs all over. Ga-ga about babies, fluffy kittens, puppies, and any shade of pink. You really like living dangerously, don't you? :suspect:
I was speaking not just from personal experience but also from witnessing events in the four different places I've worked where colleagues have become parents.

Recently, I happened to mention that I still consider myself 'ginger' (because I was in my youth) and the women immediately said, "Oh, you must bring in some photos of you when you were younger so that we can see!" I did and they went all ga-ga. (Maybe they fancy me?! :suspect: )

You weren't speaking from personal experience, but witnessing, DO? :suspect: Does witnessing something not count as a personal experience? Do you witness through a third party or alien replicant? I think we should be told.

'Personal experience' referred to when my daughter was born and the attention I got in work from female colleagues.

'Witnessing' was seeing it also happen with colleagues when they became parents.

I didn't think it was that difficult to differentiate.

I can't see how, when I 'witness' (which is a fancy way of saying 'see') something, it's different to a personal experience, snotty one. When I see something, I EXPERIENCE seeing something. Clearly it's a 'personal' experience, because one doesn't generally see through anyone else's eyes. Not that difficult to understand, I'd have thought.

Harsh Krizon.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Dessie on numerous occasions and although he certainly can be trying at times he has never been snotty. I think you should retract.

Ah, don't worry, AC: Dessie knows that in a tiny, faraway, corner of my black heart, I love him dearly.

Snitty, snooty, or snotty -
He's yet oor dear auld Scotty.

(R. Burns, 'The Ballad of Oor Dessie of Auchtermuchlaughter')
