I don't think it alters the fact that Tornado Flyer benefitted from being a bit further back than most. Maybe Danny Mullins just got lucky rather than executing a tactical masterplan, which I've seen suggested in one or two places. I think Simon Rowlands used the phrase 'hats off to' DM. Maybe it would have been more appropriate to say 'jammy bastert' (but the truth is probably somewhere in between).

Danny had an earlier ride on Jacamar that won. Comments " Held up, mistake first, headway from 3 out etc".
Comments for Tornado Flyer read more or less the same.
TF has made a first fence mistake in three or four of his previous chases.
His breeding is interesting ; By Flemensfirth out of an Exceed And Excel half sister to Hurricane Fly so is bound to divide opinion here !!
Someone should name a horse Double Jammy after Danny's Boxing Day double.
