Leopardstown & Limerick Christmas meetings

The non believer will tell you there have been only 10 deaths world wide but that is total garbage. over 10% of people hospitalised in the UK have died from Omicron in a very short spave of time.

Stay safe folks grab a six pack, feet up and watch it on the telly:lol:

Leopardstown is shutting for staffing reasons and not public health concerns. This to me seems baffling given the number of proximate courses and with half the hospitality sector closed in Dublin. Surely there could have been a contingency plan?

My party of eight will now walk up Djouce at daybreak and then repair to a pub in Greystones to watch the racing. A much riskier option.

Eddie continuing to represent all that is good about our little community.

As has been said already; there are some very good and selfless people on this forum.

Will sort you for 28th.
Badge heading to Leop with Winters's horse tomorrow to be handed to Grey.
Hope this link works; will contact you if it does.
Happy Christmas.

Thanks very much for the offer Eddie. Unfortunately, circumstances have changed in the last 24 hours. My wife has tested positive so that's me housebound.

Seasonal greetings to you and to a happy new year.

Hopefully the situation will have eased by the DRF.

Makes the previous Supreme market look slightly ridiculous. Jonbon as short as 2/1 before Sir Gerhard had even run.

Re The Savills Chase. Like most people I thought A Plus Tard was awesome at Haydock.

I guess his short price is justified, for both this race and the Gold Cup.

I do think it's of interest that Janadil is stepping up in trip to 3 miles now that he seemingly is in peak form.

His second the last day behind Allaho with Tornado Flyer back in 5th when Asterion Forlonge unseated rider was a good run, maybe even an improvement on what he'd done previously.

So Janadil is the interesting one for me anyway if I had to pick an each way I would go for him.

Currently 16s for the Ryanair and 40s top price for the Gold Cup is Janadil.

I couldn't let the €200k handicap chase go without a pop at it.

I've taken 7/1 The Bosses Oscar as the main bet but also taken some longshots for a bit of back-up with extra places on offer nearly everywhere: Enjoy D'Allen, Champagne Platinum, Bois De Clamart and Birchdale.

Chacun is a soft git must have tripped over some straw.

I don't think there was any fluke about Largy kicking Kilcruit into touch,

I would normally get stuck in but I promised my self I wouldn't take any big risks but will have a few quid on for sure

Largy Debut 9/4 or better is the best bet of the day for me

TBO mullered at the first or second fence but subsequently didn't look like a natural jumper. Still had a squeak when a bad mistake three out stopped him in his tracks. Bois De Clamart brought down mid-race but Enjoy D'Allen and Birchdale both placed at lovely prices.

It was a proper race, though, with Coko Beach going off like a scalded cat chased by a wolfhound. The form will stand up.

A good renewal and a few sob stories for others
