Leopardstown & Limerick Christmas meetings

(n/s E2,500 F); second foal; dam unplaced bumpers/points, half-sister to Norwegian 4f/1m winner The Witchcat out of maiden half-sister to 1m Listed winner Doreg and French Listed-placed 7f-1m winner Irish Flower[/QUOTE]

With breeding like that Forghas was sure to win a bumper on heavy ground by outstaying his opponents. How did we fail to see it?

Couldn't help but be impressed by Klassical Dream's win after such along lay off but why has he been off for another 487 days? Must be very fragile or something.

Looking forward to see how Abracadabras 8.2 1/5th the odds runs after Ruby's comments will have a small interest

Not a fan of Ronald Pump's trainer horse looked jaded behind Champ shouldn't be running again so soon surely?

That was a cracking race won by Klassical Dream!

Top class performance even allowing for the poached lead at the start.

Yes well done to Galvin.

Well done those who have fancy prices on Galvin for the Gold Cup.

You've beat the odds...

I always said Galvin was a G1 horse. I just hoped they'd waited until next year for a campaign like that. I wanted him to go for the National this season!

What a corking race and finish but...

Does Kemboy hold the form down a wee bit?

Gordon Elliott on RacingTV now saying Galvin goes straight to the Cheltenham Gold Cup as will be too high in weights for the GN. No entry planned for the Dublin Festival.

That's a little harsh. Kemboy's not bad around Leopardstown.

Now finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the last 4 editions of this race. Aggregate distance in the places - 5 lengths.

He finished half a length behind A Plus Tard last year and threequarters of a length down this year.

It's top class form, granted, and Kemboy is good here and in this race but we know his level and the finish here was tight between three, which usually means none is a superstar. That's all I meant.

I said beforehand there were too many ifs and buts about him and he's finsihed 3rd in the end and flopped onnce again

It probably wasn't that good a race IMO
