Looking ahead to the NH season 2015/2016 proper

I'm in a similar position with Present View. The blinkers are on for Saturday....

Mallowney is a good horse.

a few lbs short of winning a G1

Starting to drift to a double figure price, in a five runner race.
If one of the big two underperforms your nailed on to get paid out e/w.
Mallowney's trainer said they have him ready to run his best race from what I saw in trainers comments.
One of the big two got turned over first time out last season at evens.
Roads To Riches needs further too.

Had a good think about it and am not going to let Kings Palace burn me again this weekend

Same, plus he's way too short really. Johns Spirit is only a pound higher than last season and the ground will be more suitable this time. Worth a play at 12s with 5 places paid.

Five runners for the Clonmel chase tomorrow. It's an inadequate trip for Roads To Riches but he has to start somewhere.

Anyone keen on Felix younger?

I'm hopeful Mallowney is just the type of handicapper to cause an upset. :)

I love Felix Yonger but fear he could be too fresh today, particularly over this trip.
RTR should have too much for these. Mallowney seems a crazy price all the same!

Aye, RTR ridden like a horse that would stay all day and he did.

Shades of Faugheen, Un De Sceaux and Annie about Vroum Vroum Mag in that we simply have no idea at this stage how good she could be.

Would love to see her line up at Newbury as time may tell that Coneygree might have to put up a monumental performance to give her nearly a stone and half.

Watched it there. Pretty impressive for his 1st run back.

Coneygree and RTR both look in rude health. No signs of last seasons Gold Cup leaving any marks. Hopefully Djakadam shows the same.

When is Djakadam back? I see he is entered up in the King George. Is he by-passing the Hennessy this season?

I haven't heard or read anything about him. I would imagine the Thyestes and Gold Cup will be the plan.

Before that though I don't know.

Fantastic to see Sprinter Sacre back today. Looked a different horse and his exuberant jumping, his old trademark, a sight to behold to put that race to bed and demolish them. Race conditions suited him today but credit to Nicky Henderson for getting him, Simonsig & Bobs Worth all back again. That's what every true racing fan wants.

Has the makings of a serious Tingle Creek now.

Bring it on.
