Murtagh at Ballydoyle

"a move is very much not on the cards at the moment"... a lovely piece of gobbledegook... the art of hedging a definitive statement.

Its handy because they will only have to cut out the word "not" for the next statement they release. Less labout intensive, always thinking....

Does Ryan M. need to be a 'retained' jockey anywhere, anyway?
He could freelance and make enough money. He'd get sooo many top rides.

Its a great insurance policy though, isn't it? Presumably he still gets the retainer even if he's injured?

For Ryan Moore the best place to be will Coolmore, he can have a good contract and will win many gr1 wins.

That leaves the path open for Buick to deputy Dettori in Godolphin once Frankie decides to retire.

Throw this into the mix too. Rumour going around that Murtagh is being lined up to ride for Hamden Al Maktoum. That is quite possibly the softest touch in racing. Riding 7/4 shots in maidens and 9/2 shots in handicaps. Anyone heard similar?

What about Barzalona?

Too many rides, would that be?
How many horses does A-Al-M have?

Love this thread! Cant imagine JM will be retained by H-al-M but wouldnt be surprised to see him ride occassionally. (does someone know something about Richard Hills that I dont know)?
