Name Dropping

Albert Reynolds bought me a drink (well, several) for tipping him a winner at the Festival. So did Arthur Guinness.

Hello trudi,

You were recently appointed as a biographical candidate to represent your industry in the Who's Who Among Executives and Professionals, and for inclusion into the upcoming 2008-2009 "Honors Edition" of the registry.

We are pleased to inform you that on February the 24th, your candidacy was approved. Your confirmation for inclusion will be effective within five business days, pending our receipt of the enclosed form.

The Office of the Managing Director appoints individuals based on a candidate's current position, making use of information obtained from researched executive and professional listings. The director thinks you may make an interesting biographical subject, as individual achievement is what Who's Who is all about. Upon final confirmation you will be published alongside thousands of goal-oriented individuals in the Who's Who Registry. There is no cost to be included.

We do require additional information to complete the selection process and kindly ask that you access this form on our website by Clicking Here

Sincerely,

Bill Fields
Managing Director

:ninja: love to know a) who falls for this, and b) what they think I think Ive done to deserve being in it....

I slept inbetween Denman and Kauto Star, who needs a duvet when you got them 2 beside you.

I'm an ex rock chick and could name drop all of you into oblivion, if only I could remember anything from those days .....

Boris must have a thing about airports - I stood next to him at Nice airport - no broom cupboards there either!

I saw Boris Becker in the reptile house of our local zoo...............or it could have been on the Beeb's Wimbledon coverage with Sue Barker.........I can't really remember.

saw James Nesbitt (cold feet, murphys law) twice in the space of a few weeks, firstly at the cheltenham festival, at the guinness bar. got a photo, and did the very very nic people gag. he cringed. then again, near berwick street a few weeks later, about 1 in the afternoon, and he was proper pissed.

I met Tony Blair a few times and got caught by TV and press cameras listening intently to his resignation speech at Sedgefield.
I kept not meeting Niall Quinn, missed him in a few places, but a good friend got me Niall's autograph on the Niall Quinn Special issue of A Love Supreme, the Sunderland AFC supporters mag. This made me very happy.
I was in a club in Temple Bar when Brando did their first biggish gig and the Edge pushed past me to go up to the exclusive roped off bit.
I was introduced to Gerry Stack at the Dublin Horse Show a few years later, I think he's the biggest name in racing I've talked to.

I trump the lot of you - I met up with An Capall at least three times on Wednesday. Top that!

(IS - John Hunt waved at me from afar on the way in yesterday causing me to nearly trip over as I lifted my stick hand mid-stride to wave back before realising I needed to put down said stick! ;) )

Wouldn't be difficult - just hang about near the same bar.

I can exclusively reveal that I have met the bold fenian boy (AC) on several occasions in the last few years.
