New Moderators

I feel too many on the board have an issue with my posts and in return I would have issues with them and be unable to moderate with equanimity. And we don't want moderators like that do we!?
No, we don't want moderators like that, but I personally think you would do a great job. Go on Colin, put your name forward. :)

Stick yer name down, man! Blimey, if we all worried about the people on here who've insulted, berated or belittled us, we'd have about two members left! The nice thing is that as a bright, shiny, new Moderator, you could clap the miscreant in irons right away! Now, there's an attractive thought, surely?

I wanted you to be considered for re-election, Modom. Will the inducement of another box of champagne truffles be enough?

Well, heck, I've already bunged her £500 to stay on - don't tell me she wants regular tea breaks and a packed lunch as well?

This is the list I've collated from the above ramblings!

Griffin
Warbler
Gareth
Colin Phillips
Melendez
Arwright
Uncle Goober
Betsmate
An Capall
Ardross

Now, is this right? Have I missed anyone? Muttley, I wasn't sure if you were playing or not, so let me know. Your forum needs you because there are too many male nominees in my opinion

I am not going to stand again now 'cos I'm sure you'v probaly all had enough of my efforts but I'll happily restand next time there's a reshuffle if required.

Seems that the combination of token Irishman :dork: , token female :suspect: , veteran libertarian  and zealot  works well.

Maybe those belonging to each group should vote for their representative.

Songsheet - it is traditional to list ballots in alphabetical order. Already this election is beginning to resemble an electoral college in Florida.

My lawyer will be in contact.

Good - I have every intention of sabotaging this election and it is heartening to know the seeds of dissent have already been sown...

If you lot think us current Mods had any intention of going gracefully, think on...

I'll probably just choose seeing as there aren't many people willing to jump in

I must say I'm very surprised at some names missing who I thought would be asking for the chance to help, after all if you can slag someone off constantly for doing it then surely you should be prepared to do it yourself.

I think the existing Mods do a great job, in their differing ways, and I think we owe them a great debt. The people replacing them will soon find it`s a thankless and impossible job.

It's not always thankless - a lot of the work is being helpful, too, moving things around at members' request, deleting multiple postings, setting up new sections, etc. I don't think we should overplay the difficult parts, and if members will make a real effort to play by the Board Rules, the newbies should have a reasonably quiet time.
