Odd One Out

Anything to do with sons? Barry Hills and Gary Moore both have two sons that are jockeys, John Dunlop has two sons that are trainers?

How come you're starting one off, when Gareth's hasn't been finished yet? This topic is utterly shambolic! (Stomps off in sulk, answers - from book, not Google - on butterflies having been dismissed entirely arbitrarily... )

Pride is the only one that didn't win an Irish Classic?
Pride is the only one that didn't win a Classic?
Pride is the only one that didn't win a G1 at three?
Galileo is the only one who hasn't won over 11f?
Galileo is the only one who has won over a mile?

I bet it is none of these...

Too many possibles with most of these! If Gareth tells us it's that one of them raced without shoes, or always had its mane plaited, I vote we club him to death with copies of the Irish Racing Guide.

A few too many possibilities, you're right, so I'll narrow it down: it's got to do with parental achievement.

That's sent everyone off to the sire and dam stats for the next half-hour... Did all the mums write cookery books, apart from OUIJA BOARD's? Oh, no, sorry, wrong thread!

Right answer, wrong reason.

Cape Cross didn't run in the Arc and all the others did, two of them winning it.

Sadler's Wells?????? can't see him down as a winner and my memory is shot to pieces.
