A few months ago Boylesporst and pp both closed my account within days of each other. Information was shared of course .

Dont care. Two Bob outfits and bet fair is way forward but Boylesporst were fine and money was in account within a day . As it should have been

pp? I let it drift when they gave me a stupid long list of requirements to get the cash back but since then Every obstacle possible to ensure that I cannot get the money out.

I won't go into details because it gets a little bit boring but whatever you do do not open an account with these people

i think Corbyn is involved here..he usually is involved with everything..he's told them not to give your money back i reckon...he's a bookie sympathiser imo

1. Proof of Labour Party membership
2. Proof of being a member of Stop The War

if so..its deffo Jez involved..with those questions asked i'm surprised you didn't suss this I am

What are the requirements? Surely just standard KYC documents to prove identity and address? If so it's not unreasonable.

I'm sure the T&Cs will include something about providing reasonable proof of identity for a withdrawal so PP within their rights

Send them what they want and you will get your money. They are a cheap outfit I agree and I fear for the Exchange once they get their stinking fingers on it.

Had exactly same problem with sportingbet after I had a bit of a streak with them after the open meeting.Sent them what they wanted and they released the funds......and restricted my account, which is laughable at the stakes I bet at.

I would imagine this is standard AML and your account will be restored to a working function once you provide the security checks. This is pretty standard stuff.

Yes, I'd used a VPN to place a bet with them and they picked up on it and suspended my account until I'd provided proof of my residency.

Was all back to normal after I'd sent that through and these days a simple phone pic sent via e-mail was sufficient.

Yes it is. It's ridiculous that because you win you suddenly have to prove who you are. Account has been open over 10 years and been a steady balance . As with links, the amounts are neither here nor tehre

so you have a bank account for decades and then one day you go to cash machine and expected to suddenly produce a utility bill. Wnkrs that work for banks and so on probably don't get it though. They still think it's THEIR money

aside from that they couldn't trace the email I sent . Simply a drag

yes bankers who think its their money is right...gamble with it then lose...we all paying the price now for that mentality now..we all in it together..well 80% of us are:)

I wonder how many request ID to make a deposit?

Good article, Slim.

The system is clearly designed to expose undesirables - no wonder you can't get on anywhere.

It's you that doesn't get it. AML isn't some kind of made-up thing so that banks and bookies etc can hold onto your money. It's the law. Simple as that.

It's not much of a faff in this day and age. I've done it for loads of bookmakers - use your phone to take a picture of passport and driving licence and email it to them. Takes about ten seconds.

Really? Well the fact is they wanted rather a lot more than just a copy driving licence which leads me to suspect that the above is somewhat short of the truth quite frankly

Why are you being so cryptic? Tell us what they asked you for and then we can give an opinion on whether or not it's reasonable (and whether it's a legal requirement).

Betbright my latest.....wanted a photo of D/L, card and bank statement.
Does the USA require more for a visa?

I have nothing against the poor souls who work for bookies like Paddy Power at all. It's not their fault!

Life might find them a better course.

Not interested in your opinion

im simply pointing out poor ciustomer service and ridicuoius demands from a bookie. Up to others what they make of it
