:) :) What a lovely, roundy baby girl: so many look like newborn mice, it's hard to say 'lovely' with any sincerity, but she's truly a Gorgeous Georgy Girl! And what a lovely sister, too... some good genes in the family, clearly! Well done, Griffin, I can't believe you just popped a baby out between postings! :o

lol @ Krizon

Fantastic Griffin, very pleased for you, glad everything went so well! All the best!

Many congratulations Griffin, she looks lovely. 45 minutes is a pretty impressive performance too!!!! Hope she is sleeping for more than an hour or two at a time!!

Beautiful name for a beautiful baby, Griffin. The look of love on her big sisters face is a cracker. Well done...

Good shout Triptych, I meant to ask too. Is Madam sleeping well yet and has Ma recovered from the ordeals of the birth? How is she getting on with the other girls?

has Ma recovered from the ordeals of the birth?
What ordeal? It was easy  Mr GG has just about recovered though, it was much worse for him

Georgia is angelic  She's started to wake up just twice a night for a feed, so I hope that continues. Emily used to wake up every 90 minutes :teeth: She likes to go back to sleep until 10am, and I've been joining her in this but Mr GG goes back to work on Wednesday so that's about to end. He's been an absolute star, waiting on me hand and foot. I haven't had to lift a finger, he's even been bringing me breakfast in bed! I've been spoilt and I'll miss not having him around.

Georgias sisters are devoted to her. They argue over whos turn it is to hold her (but so do Mr GG & I) Emily constantly tells us how much she loves Georgia and how she really really wanted a baby sister

We're off to the registry office to register her birth tomorrow and we'll see about setting a date for our wedding while we're there. After eight years it's about time!

Great news, Griffin - what a very kind baby Georgia is! By the way, I take the whole forum's invited to witness the nuptials? :o You might find a few of the ooh-ahhers on here doing some free childminding for you while you celebrate!

Congratulations Griffin - you've done well this past week or so!!!

Seriously, when you get to wedding arrangements and stuff, PM me if you don't have the flowers organised. My Ma runs a florist business from home, she is very good (I can produce pictoral evidence and testimonies!!!), has done several weddings and she is far, far cheaper than conventional florists - she thinks the prices they charge for weddings (and funerals in particular) are absolutely criminal. She's only half an hour or so away from you!

You can all join Mr GG's family in being disappointed, we're not inviting anyone  We want the girls to be there and his two younger brothers will do for witnesses. We both hate a fuss, don't have many friends or much family and would feel uncomfortable with a big wedding. It's our day and we're going to do it exactly how we want, we'll tell our family afterwards so as to avoid all the arguments. I know that my parents don't mind if we do it our way because I've discussed it with them before. As for Mr GG's family  His dad would want to invite all of his drinking buddies and would spend the day making sexist, rascist and downright offensive jokes and I doubt his mother would even bother to attend. We almost got married eight years ago and she refused to come. She's never liked me  She'll like me even less when I've finally married her favourite son

Just do it your way Griffin. I have a feeling it will be a day your whole "immediate" family will never forget.

I have been engaged for the best part of 9 years now. I am not sure if I will ever get married now as I quite like the freedom of just being permanently engaged. Marriage was discussed about 6 years ago and I went as far as choosing venues and possible dates etc and went to a wedding fayre with my dear mother, and then him indoors didn't mention it again, so I assumed he was waiting for a better offer.

Recently, the subject of marriage came up by the OH who says it now makes great sense for tax reasons. Who said romance was dead. :D

Sounds like something Mr GG would say! He has a point though. Car insurance would probably be cheaper, I assume so anyway because they always ask when we apply. And if any of our kids were sick and needed urgent medical attention, because we're not married, even though he's their dad he cannot give consent for any treatment because he doesn't have a Parental Responsibility Order

My big girl is six weeks old today so I thought I'd post a new photo of her. One in which she wasn't screaming

She's quite a demanding little so-and-so during the day, preferring to be held all the time by me. Housework and cooking are difficult to do one handed but Georgia likes the sound of the hoover and tumble dryer and will sit happily in her chair while those are on. One evening I had to resort to making the dinner with the hoover on in the kitchen for her to listen to just so that everyone got fed at a reasonable hour

She can just about smile, but choses to save all of them for her dad. She could've spent hours screaming the house down but the second he comes in from work and holds her she's all smiles and coos  She has never smiled at me, she probably hates me

I'd probably have at least one more, Mr GG is determined not to so he's off to the doctors tomorrow morning to see about having the snip
