Punchestown 2012

He is wearing first time headgear i think

Will surely be retired after

when the cheekpieces go on, it's time to forget about it. I honestly wouldn't be tempted at 20s.

Whilst SE is miles clear on all known form, I think Euro has the right idea by dutching Realt Dubh and Gauvain.

Stan James have priced up winning distances & favourites for the entire meeting (37 races) quoting:

over 179.5L 13/8
over 365 13/8 (25 for the win, 10 for 2nd & 5 for 3rd)

These targets, especially distances, seem on the low side? over 11/2 the double if you can get it on.

I am SE's biggest fan but I wouldn't be touching him at these odds

I'll have a small play on China rock at a big price

I'm a massive fan of China Rock but Mouse keeps running him at the wrong distances. This horse should have run in the Ryanair for the last two years. He's travelled like a dream in the GC to about 3 out then folded. On the flip side I reckon he won't be quick enough to win this.

At 15/2 I had to get involved each way with Big Zeb.They might be bringing him there to retire but Im sure they won't want him disgraced.

Am taking a chance on Burrenbridge Lodge in the handicap hurdle (4.55). Really tough and game this fella is- and his trainer does really well with a small team of horses. Decent e/w value at 18's on the machine.

The whole country is backing Realt Dubh it seems. Received calls from the track, they are all buzzing about this horse. Cannot see it myself. It can't be all Segal surely...

His Cheltenham performance was meaningless-never got competetive. The question is are they aiming specifically at today or is it a case of giving him a run before he goes out to grass.Meades form is notoriously hot and cold-I couldn't back him.

It would make sense given the hold ups they have had with the horse to have used Cheltenham as a prep in the knowledge that Big Zeb and Sizing Europe wouldn't be the same horses here. If they were serious about a Festival victory and had the horse primed it would have made more sense to have gone for the Ryanair with the going the way it was.

Ultimately SE had that lung burster over three miles when QDLR caught him, has travelled over to England twice and also took in the Tied Cottage on heavy. It's safe to assume he won't be at his best but will he drop far enough below that perch to enable one of the others to catch him?

Could not have a bet of any significance on that ground at this time of the year. Great win for Snap Tie - Benash ran an absolute blinder after falling when with a chance over a longer trip last year.
