Imperial Guest, runner-up in last season's Stewards' Cup at Goodwood, was on Wednesday evening put down after fracturing a bone in a hind leg at Kempton.

O'Leary should send him to Mark Pitman. He could look forward to at least two more years of positive bulletins and no runs, before retirement is announced.

Outstanding Derby winner, won the best Irish Derby I've seen against the brilliant Suave Dancer and then put in an outstanding winning performance in the King George.

There are very few 1m 4f horses that could have beaten Generous during the summer of 1991.

RIP

A wonderful horse.
I was at The Dewhurst 1990 and saw this little chestnut who was runner up at Royal Ascot winning at 50/1.
Fluke result I thought. How wrong I was; not for the first or last time!
Next time I saw him was at The Curragh beating Suave Dancer when Cash was suspended.
He deserved his high rating for sure.

Bog Trotter clearly a better prospect, imo.
