Road to the 2025 Champion Hurdle

The number of mares in training only exists because of the Mares only programme, getting rid is not the answer.
I said get rid or move it............so move it then.

Trials day or the April meeting would be perfect.
In fact move all the Mares races to the Mares day in April along with that listed Sandown bumper.
It would certainly beef up the April card at Cheltenham which is quite frankly dreadful.

You wouldn't get any Irish mares in April because their mares championship is at Punchestown. It's also a G1 and worth about the same as the Cheltenham race.

1. Only reason French bred horses are so superior is because of their broodmares
2. Mares hurdle is 100% the race he would send her
3. She goes chasing next year

The clock tells us the speed they're travelling but it doesn't take into account the ground conditions.

It's easy enough to do 14s furlongs on good ground but it's likely to be closer to 18s per furlong in heavy. At that speed the commentator is liely to be telling us they're going steady.

I don't see what Rowlands does as after-timing. It's not like he's claiming he tipped the winner beforehand.

It's analysis and what we do in our own different ways; we're all trying to figure what happened in a race to produce the result that took place. I think that's healthy and in no way a waste of time.
The chances of everything repeating as they were last time is zero. If they did we would all be millionaires. If what he does pinpointed winners I could see sense in it but he's talking past events not future forecasting...that to me is s poor way to try and find winners

He isn't necessarily trying to pinpoint winners, though. He's trying to work out the most accurate level of the form.

He analyses stuff that I don't have time to get into but I respect the work that goes into it and tend to bear it in mind when it comes to future races. I tend not to back the same ones as he does but when I do they tend to do better than when I don't.

That's not unlike certain other forumites. When certain ones put up something I fancy myself it tends to raise my hopes accordingly (and sometimes my stakes).

As someone who has a few 7/1 tickets for the Brighterdaysahead (Mares) and Galopin Des Champs (Gold Cup) double, I'm pleased to hear the same line from the O'Learys, Kevin Blake and our own media personality. Fingers crossed that Constitution Hill stays sound to seal the deal.

To me Rowlands is one of the best in the business. Each to their own but for me all the best punters I've known have been people who were masters of the dark arts of speed ratings. Unfortunately the game has caught up somewhat with each advancement they've made so I don't think there is as much of an edge as what there used to be although giggsy still seems very adept at correcting the odds for the bookies on a daily.

Over the years I saw the advancements of certain punters on the forums from the basics of overall speed ratings to sectionals and ground coverage turf tracks stuff. I'm sure Rowlands was part of one of the forums back in the day as one of the guys I knew who seems to have dissapeared from the forum life used to do bits with Rowlands back in the day or so he told me and I'd have no reason to disbelieve him.

I wish I'd have had more time to devote to it properly when it really was worth doing.

What's your rationale ...
I've seen her type many times before. The race she won isn't exactly known for producing Champion Hurdle winners. State Man did but only because Constitution Hill missed the race and you have to go back to Hurricane Fly to find another. Paul Townsend said after she beat State Man earlier in the season she would never beat him again and she only did because he never turned up
I doubt she will even run in the Champion Hurdle if she runs again between now and then

If CH done the same, you'd be shouting for a 213 rating though

You are some man for spoofing -where did you get the idea that the race isn't exactly known for producing Champion Hurdle winners.Come back when you have done your research.

As I was saying smart ass😄 exactly what did I say that was spoofing
Do you think Ii am stupid enough not to check things beforehand with you waiting to pounce which is your nasty habit

Wow -you have gone back 8 years -talk about a short sample.Tell me a race in England that has produced more individual Champion Hurdle winners since the start of the millennium.

You come straight out of a comic book with your logic. Of all the trials it has produced 1 winner in 10 years which makes it one of the least important trials nowadays. That is the point I was making which you decided in your sick mind was spoofing..
Grow up man.
