Road to the 2025 Champion Hurdle

Beef or Salmon is on my ignore list. Something I said I would never do but I find him to be an ill-mannered ignoramus and a trouble maker so in the interest of the forum I think it's the best thing to do.

No I am not always right you ignorant c*** and the first to admit it when I am wrong...you came on here just to insult me which makes you a total wanker...I said I would never block anyone but for you I am making an exception.
Keep smiling,Fist - the attack was scurrilous and unnecessary, imo.

What KB was saying is that it was far faster at the start than Lossiemouth had ever been asked to go before but, crucially, also far faster than they go in the early stages of most Champion Hurdles. If they've been planning towards the Champion Hurdle for Lossiemouth for 2 years as has been said, this result won't alter that plan even if they want to see a better performance next time. 7/1 looks a very fair each way price.
I'd imagine if Brighterdaysahead runs so will a pacemaker.

Imo,it's a futile exercise comparing beginning sectionals at Kempton with the very different opening test of a Champion Hutdle.
At the end of the day,Lossiemouth didn't have the speed,no matter how she's performed elswhere, and I'd be confident similar would obtain at the Festival.

The Champion Hurdle is a law unto itself and many challengers look like they can win but many end up disappointing..
Ekbalco was a classic example..Jonjo thought he was a certainty and ended up being totally outclassed. Constitution Hill holds all the aces and this could easily end up another easy win.

But if she was simply under the weather/off form, like many of Willie's were over the Christmas, then there is no reliable evidence either way.. I can always forgive one bad performance, one only mind!

Just watched the NdB interview on TV there.

After talking about CH taking a massive gulp (words to that effect) going to the last he said he reckoned CH was 'about 85% fit'.

How literally do we take that?

What I'm thinking is that if he ran to about 160 the other day - quite a low rating compared with what he's done in the past - then does he have another 15% - 24lbs - to come?

If he ran to more than 160 then what?

Another thing that caught my attention was the talk about them being in the entertainment industry and the implication - my interpretation - that all the talk about issues behind the scenes were part of the game and that they were effectively toying with the racing public.

So was the Kempton gallop intended to disappoint?

I've suspected the foregoing to some extent but it was interesting to hear it articulated.

I honestly have no idea why literally any of you engage with him in discussion.

I can only assume you all have found out you qualify by doing so for some kind of care in the online community grant and have applied for it, got it and are being paid pro rata by the reply.

I'd be in no hurry to run Constitution Hill in the International Hurdle. If it looks like easy pickings and he's well in himslef fair enough but if WPM sends his over I would think twice.

Nico saying he was 85% fit ? that wouldnt get him to post :0) but I know what he means so that will have knocked the stuffing out of him.

Last thing they want to do is force him into being 100% for the IH. better letting him come along in his own time.

Not trying to tell Nicky his job but I bet that is how he will be thinking........

A certain Annie Power ran in that
I see Lossiemouth has an entry in the Stayer's Hurdle at the festival.
Make of it what you will.
Doubt if it was Willies idea. Rich Ricci probably came up with the idea as he has mentioned her several times in the same breath as Annie Power..Absolutely no chance of her stepping up to 3m at Cheltenham.

An Capall tells a great tale of a horse he had a share in being Grand National bound.
Despite being guaranteed a run at the weights and qualifying on other criteria the horse was entered in SIX Aintree races, hurdles and fences.
I was involved in a Harry Findley cast off (Espartano) .
We took him over half ways through the flat season.
We won twice, were second twice , fourth twice from ten runs.
Some money was due to trainer Tom Hogan at the end of the season and Paddy, my mate expressed slight disappointment to John Powell, senior steward.
" You must remember Paddy, prizemoney is only meant to cover HRI fees" came the reply.
WPM takes this statement to heart, it seems.

You know no entries have been made yet ? If you're having entries from the RP you'll note in brackets (possible entries) its basically the RP putting in anything they think might possibly run.
