Pont Alexandre.

My festival will more than likely turn on this horse. This is a real good race but he looks special.

Nothing fancy Euro, just 3/1 but he's the fulcrum of some doubles as well. I've only just started having a few bets but I'm happy enough to keep backing him at 11/4. Barring injury he'll be there and he looks to have everything. Reminds me of Mikael D'Haguenet's novice season; I backed him as we'll.

There does still seem some mileage in his price given the likelihood that The New One wont come into his own until he chases. Have PA in a couple of doubles as well.

Have a couple of single win bets done on Pont Alexandre for the Neptune. Am slightly concerned though about the "rumours" that he may still divert to the Albert Bartlett. Wherever he turns up he wins:cool:

I'd have preferred them to run Champagne Fever in this, he only jumps the hurdles well at the end of a race ,he steps over them early on. You can't do that over two miles in the Supreme and get away with it. Pont Alexandre hurdles fluently throughout and stays. they must think an awful lot of Ballycasey.

Pont Alexandre is my biggest winner by far.Backed it in singles but it also makes ups lot of my doubles and trebles and patents.looks Special to me.will also echo what tout said about ballycasey.

Really fancy Pont Alexandre, but with less than 3 weeks to go is it worth backing Ante Post at under 3/1? Can’t see the price contracting that much & mkts will be NRNB soon enough so am waiting until then before pulling the trigger.

Also, what about Defy Logic as a decent ew poke? I’ve nibbled away on Betfair at decent prices (40+). He’s entered in the G2 Novice at Naas on Sunday so will hopefully know after that if he’s got a chance of running....

I like Defy Logic a lot and is a horse to follow but not sure he'll be ready for Cheltenham.

There are a few in the Neptune betting who will end up elsewhere. Like On the Bridle says I reckon he'll be around 2/1 on the day.

Pleased to see others have the same opinion as me!!!

Pont Alexandre won his only race in France on Good ground, and Mullins reckons there's every chance he'll improve for it. He's no staying grinder, and I'll be surprised if he gets done for toe.

PA is going to be hard to beat especially if there is cut in the ground but i just think rule the world if the ground is not soft will be the one to do him

one outsider who could run well is defy logic won very well last time have no idea whether he needs soft ground or not though

Mullins is adamant he will be better on good ground

I bet using my eyes - watching races, backed up with a bit of form study. I was already taken visually taken by Pont Alexandres last win, the from stacks up, but the clincher for me was Ruby's post race reaction on ATR. He looked like he'd won the Euro Millions and also said good ground wouldn't be a problem.

A Walsh/Mullins banker for me
