So true Luke. I worked for a big company and put in on average a 55-65 hour week but they didn't appreciate me. I was constantly overlooked for promotions etc, probably as I was female. After a spell in hospital I had time to evaluate my life and shortly after going back to work, I decided to give up the job with a company car and pension that I had been at for over 20 years for a massive pay decrease to work with my partner some 6 years ago and I have never looked back. I now have much better working conditions, some stress - but it's bearable, my dog in the office to entertain me (and the staff) and I have employed all my own staff. Life is too short to be unhappy at work, so if an opportunity arises (and I appreciate it doens't always happen), grab the opportunity with both hands. Don't wait like I did to be in hospital to realise what is really important in life.
