Does the fact Ballydoyle have no pacemakers in not point to them being slightly worried regarding his stamina and wanting the race run at a crawl?

No - otherwise they'd have 2 or 3 pacemakers to try and ensure a crawl.:)
The horse is versatile enough for the pace not to be a worry - whatever speed they go.

I've waited a long, long time to see a colt become a Triple Crown winner. I hope Camelot can do it.

I cant call it myself. Part of me thinks he's been anything but impressive in winning in the first two legs and part of me wonders if he hasn't been winning a little cheekily and whether the mile and three quarters might just be his optimum trip.

Either way it's given me something exciting to look forward to over the past couple of months or so. I cant wait to watch the race. :)

I made the pilgrimage to Donny to see Nijinsky win his Triple Crown, and thought of going today to complete the double, but tbh Camelot has never given quite the same buzz.
On today's ground, no surprise to see him win the Leger just as impressively, though.

which it won't be with Dartford there for that job...this will be strongly run i feel with both Gosdens not too far from the pacesetter

he nearly fell off encke dicking about there after the line

the ID showed that stamina wasn't camelot forte imo..its a shame because teh triple crown won't be attempted again i doubt

Kicking myself here! I came very close to backing the winner each way.

Joseph had him too far off the pace for me.

not sure i agree..Camelot and the winner were pretty close to each other 2 out..Camelot just didn't find as much

Camelot was only a length behind the winner 4 out as well

I think the extended trip flattened his turn of foot a bit, but he was flying in the last few strides. Easy to criticise from an armchair I suppose but I think the result might possibly have been different if Joseph had kept closer to the pace.

but they weren't sure of his stamina..he may well have emptied out if they had..its not like it wasn't impossible to win from where he was..encke virtually had a similar trip

Swap the jockeys on the front two and you get a different result.

+1 look at the path the horse had to take during the last 3f - had to unbalance him just when he needed to be absolutely balanced to make his run. Afraid he would have been better with more experienced jockey.

Close enough? He was right out the back in a slowly run race.

This is like the idiots on the ML earlier on saying Strong Suit wasn't badly ridden in the Hungerford. If a horse is held up down the field in a slowly run race it's a massive disadvantage. Especially if a more enterprising jockey nicks a couple of lengths.

Bullshit - Best horse won - Camelot was close enough if good enough...

I did say after his maiden win that he was completely overrated. What I failed to work out was that the current generation is absolute garbage. Every 3yo in the Arc will be run over.
