TH Ten To Follow Competition 2018/2019

Horses with points today

Mr Adjudicator 50pts (0 nominations)

Benie Des Dieux 30pts (13 nominations)

Soloman Grey 5pts (Dark Horse for Marble Team A)

After six long months this season's winner of the TH Ten To Follow competition is Bonjers Team A, thanks in no small measure to his Dark Horse Minella Indo who recorded a 50/1 victory at the Cheltenham Festival scoring 120 points in the process and who by scoring another 38 points at Punchestown on Wednesday also landed the prize for top scoring Dark Horse, while DG can count himself unlucky to score 140 points with Frodon and only finish second in that category. The other great performances in the main part of the competition came from runner up jinnyj who was the only other forum member to accumulate more than 600 points. I trust the competition sponsors swedish chef,Grey and Roddy will get in touch with our winner to discuss the transfer of prize monies, I fear though Roddy may be difficult to track down as he has not been on the forum for months.

Finally the forum owes swedish chef a big thank you for sponsoring this competition for the past few years not forgetting Grey who donated his prize money from last year.
You may recall swedish chef notifying us this would be his last season of sponsorship so we are now looking for a new sponsor for next season, I also gave notice that I would not be running it after this season so we also need a volunteer to run it if it is to continue. Nothing is written in stone and whilst the competition could be run with exactly the same rules and scoring system it does not have to be, anyone could run their own version.

Thankyou so much to everyone and well done to all the winners!!!

Huge well done to kirsty as well actually - unless I’ve missed it, she’s got her 603 ( or whatever it was) without a dark horse !! [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122]

Many thanks Roger for all the time you’ve put in running this for several years.

Thanks for all the hard work once again DG. Very fortunate with Indo, certainly not one I was expecting to come up trumps during festival week.

Well done on your runaway win Bonjers. Also thanks to Swedish Chef, Grey, and Roddy for sponsoring this fine tournament.

But the biggest thanks must go to Roger for the significant time and effort he’s put in running this excellent competition for the last few years for the benefit of us all. I’m sure I talk for everyone when I say just how much it’s appreciated.

if I had sufficient time I’d take it on myself, but I know I couldn’t. I hope one of you guys feel you can as it would be a real shame to lose it.

Also if you can’t get hold of Roddy let me know Roger, I’ll give him a call.

Very well played, Bonjers, and thanks to all the sponsors.

Can only echo the thanks to DG for all his hard work with this over the years.

Congratulations to Bonjers on a clear win in the Ten To Follow.

Viking is the deserving winner of the Winter Prize. After taking both parts of the Ante Post competition it was always going to be hard for anyone else to get a look-in, but well done to Ivantheterrible and Perpetual, who kept the outcome in doubt until the end of the season, as explained in post No 255 above.

Viking finished on 23 points, Ivantheterrible on 28, edgt and Maruco on 36, Perpetual on 37, Grey and Trudij on 45, archie and Marble on 46. Completing the top 10 on 52 points is granger.

A big thank you to Roger, you have set a very high standard for whoever takes over from you (please, someone).

Thanks Art for scoring this. I. Just about clung on despite a mediocre performance in the TTF and was fortunate that the results of my A and B team don’t get counted

Congratulations to Bonjers and Viking and huge thanks to the sponsors and to DG for all the work in running this competition and to Grey for organising the Winter prize

Well done Viking. A stonking effort over the three comps.

Thanks Art. Very much appreciated. How I managed a share of 3rd with Eddie I’ll never know. The rest of you must have been rubbish!
