The 2025 December Gold Cup Handicap Chase

Colonel Harry is only up 4lb for winning the Grand Sefton and I'd have him market leader for this (which he isn't) if I knew he was running.

Not started a "Decfolio" yet, though.

Decfolio, done dusted and punted Jagwar 11/2, Colonel Harry 12/1 Es perfecto 33/1.

Fwiw its worth Colonel Harrys trainer said it was either the Becher or this as his next race and he was withdrawn from the becher so although not concrete it seems like this is the plan. Slightly more worried that Jagwar won't turn up again.

The price that jumps out at me is Matata 33/1.
Probably his win in the Fitzdares is a bit overrated but he's capable of winning under top weight.
Should add: he's also entered this Sunday at Kelso

Entry next Saturday - 2.05 Cheltenham

Which one you talking about Reet all 3 of mine are only showing being entered for for this according to RP. 1.50 Cheltenham Saturday.

Venetia has shown she can still train a winner today with Djelo.

I want to see Martator in the confirmations tomorrow. He improved a stone and a half on official ratings last year, and his last performance was a step in the right direction. I'd probably want decent ground for him and nothing too testing over this sort of trip, so I'll keep a check on that.

Don't think PN has given up on Tahmuras yet. Would have needed the run LTO, and maybe the trainer underestimated how much.

This would seem a likely (early-mid) season target. And is languishing at the bottom of the odds table at around 66 (and in the low 100s BF). Chance he could still carry a fair few of these round. He won't mind if it's deep.

Your Favourite Uncle Smart Arse still likes Colonel Harry and a weights rise of 5lb or more would bring Kim Roque into YFUSA's calculations also.

But YFUSA will wait for tomorrow's confirmations, or maybe even Thursday's final declarations before getting involved.

It's a NR aversion thing.

There is absolutely no need to thank YFUSA for this - he's all about helping the less fortunate (which is pretty much everyone tbf).

I really thought this was my Cheltenham ew banker last March at a big price so I'm still hopeful he will come back to form.
