The 32Red Winter Festival Kempton Park Wed 26 Dec & Thurs 27 Dec 2018

According to friend who is at KP, the Hendo staff were concerned about B d'A prior to the race. He was quite stressy and they got him looked over.

I am absolutely gutted for connections and trainer of Waiting Patiently, I really am. That's as unlucky as it gets. I hope he is okay, because he was travelling like a possible winner. A massive downer on the race for me. I'd love it...love it....if he can bounce back for Cheltenham and his confidence isn't too dented..

If I could have abet on the reply I still wouldn't back Clan Des Obeaux

The race was due a boil over and we certainly got that.

Shame about Waiting Patiently as the question whether he'd get 3 miles plus would have been well answered.

Native River told us why Paul Nicholls never ran Denman in a King George he looked like a Ascot Gold Cup horse running in a July Cup.

The only 2 things I got right is Biter is overrated to the shithouse and they went round right handed as for the rest? Not a good day...well done those who backed it.

River has run a blinder as he was off the bridle going to post!

Bite is finished!

Interesting to see the winner in the Gold Cup.

Now then Percy.

Biter gone.

Not sure what to make of form, tbh.

Went in on Native River at 6’s after race. Brave effort on track we knew wouldn’t suit, and will be a different prospect round Cheltenham.

Yes, sadly it's looking like Might Bite has gone. I'm happy enough that I opted not to back him but sad to see him struggling like that. If anybody can get him back Hendo can but it doesn't look likely. I'd rather see him retired than struggle in Class C handicaps next season.

I really hope they don't push their luck with MB - bless him, he looked desperate.
Brilliant stuff from Thistlecrack; brilliant ride from Harry Cobden.
ITV racing - LEAVE THEM ALONE please. Let them come in and speak to trainers/owners without muscling in all the time. It's very, very annoying.

Remember Choc Thornton used to refuse to speak to them until he had spoken to connections, jockeys today should follow his example. I'd insist on it if I was an owner.

Yes indeed! They, the ITV staff, are just 'in the face' of everyone ALL the time. Saddling,in the paddock, in the stands, the SECOND the horses pull up, on the way in, in the winners, as they walk out of the winners......it's too much plus the calibre of most of them, the presenters, is just woeful.

PFN is unrivalled when it comes to three mile chasers. He's held that horse in high regard for a long, long time and the patience has been rewarded. Excellent ride too. No excuses for Politologue who could mop up at middle distances away from Cheltenham.

Great to see Thistlecrack back, he's got some engine on him. A real shame he had to sit out for a prolonged spell.

The savage Gold Cup appears to have unfortunately done for Might Bite. Hope all is well with him.

Biggest plus of the race was seeing BDM and WP get up, could have been really nasty.

A great race, had a bit of everything.
A reminder how different courses suit different horses and of just how good Kauto Star, Kicking King and Captain Christy were in their day to win at Kempton and Cheltenham.
Great that no horse was injured.
Thanks for info on Buveur D'Air , the Scorpion in Might Bite may be the problem long term.
That P Nicholls has now won 10 King George's says a lot about him.
Time and again we have seen once horses hang off the inside rail at Kempton their race is over.

You don't come off the pace to win a KG. Doubtful stayers have a huge squiggle as likely to be ridden to get a trip

Not sure the form of the race will stand to much long term

And Best Mate and Burrough Hill Lad

MB bled and I wouldn’t be surprised if something less serious happened at Haydock too.Maybe that brutal GC did for MB and NR after all - the latter looked much slower than last year’s animal to me.

I would not underrate the winner - he is a young horse and won very comfortably - question is trip .

I could not understand why Geraghty got after Buveur D’Air so early after that mistake . Looked as if it told in the last 50 yards - not BG’s finest hour I think.
