The Camelot Hype Thread

Well said Gus.
Developer Patrick Gallagher bought 1/4 share in Try My Best for 750000 and flew 80 guests to Newmarket for 2000 Gns; wined and dined them and then they flew home....
As MVOB tried to satisfy press post race Pat tapped MVOB and said "Come on Vincent Its Brandy Time". I have had plenty of Brandy times myself since but not on that scale!

I find this thread so so tedious tbh, but its given me a laugh anyway.

Where is Miesque today, ..you know, the guy who only tips Coolmore horses on the summer naps thread and seems to know the breeding and some of the people behind it?

Can we have an official statement (or maybe no so official') please?

aha jinny sort of answered that. But the obvious downside is that when you do have a "best ever" eventually, the informed breeders will shrug their shoulders

The downside scenario only has an outside chance of occurring once or twice in a lifetime though. Most yards will never have the best ever at anything.

5) Salmon Leap....

1) I know the horse cannot for the life of me think of his name...Bolger bred everything he had to him for ages...

But every yard will have their own "best ever"? Not that im losing sleep over this but i think punters would be a bit happier if we could take his opinions a little more seriously

They are marketing people, the stallion is the product and Aidan enjoys working for Coolmore. He trades in flannel, but is not so different from the rest of them. Like I say it's pretty transparent. No one actually believes any of them.

1. Last Tycoon correct.
Sorry but I was busy all day and just catching up now.

Five examples of well marketed admittedly very good racehorses that did not make it at stud.
By the mid 1990s the Saddlers Wells page was replaced by a picture of a high powered racing car representing HORSEPOWER.
Ryan Price was seemingly THE man for superlatives regarding his horses; flat or NH.
Nobody second guessed him either!

1/3 on Sunday. Not the worse price ever against Group 3 animals although Al Kazeem is progressive.

Both Guineas look interesting at this stage. Big Break and Magician would be interesting if they line up in their respective Classics.

Hopefully Dermot Weld runs Princess Highway. A real Irish trainer.

Might take a bit of the 12'.

Turned over easily by Al Kazeem. Charltons charge looks an improver but Camelot looking like the best of a bad bunch.
