The Camelot Hype Thread

Whoever started this thread is shrewder than me, by a mile.

I don't even want to read back through this thread for fear of immense embarrassment.

Well done Al Kazeem.

All credit to Roger Charlton (a) for taking Camelot on in the first place and (b) for an excellent piece of training. Al Kazeem fractured his pelvis last year but patience had its reward today and it looks like there is plenty more to come from Al Kazeem.

Doubt we'll see the best of Camelot until he runs over 12f or more - trouble is, connections need a 10f gp1 on his C.V.

He had Colic surgery last year though. Horses can take some time after this to get back to their best, sometimes never. Worse jumping of course as the stretch is worse. I know these ops are getting better and better these days, but believe me, even a cut through a little bitof abdominal muscle hurts like hell for a long time, and can have some pretty deep impacts on muscle quality and niggling pain for months, even years.

Just throwing it into the pot, no comment on the form ;)

My feelings exactly. Any colic op is major and many can succumb later in life due to adhesions caused by the surgery (one of mine included).

Camelot currently 14/1 (high as 16 SJ) for International and outsider of Ballydoyle quartet.
Is he the each way steal of the year if he shows up ?
This race is littered with turn up results; Roberto, Moulton, Relkino, Ile de Chypre, Commanche Run,Terimon etc who defeated fancied rivals.
