Not for me. When I saw there were two debutants for Mullins in the race - remember he had the 1-2 in the mares' novice hurdle a few years back with Eglantine Du Seuil (50s) and Concertista (66/1) - with debutantes so I checked them both out and thought about backing them but ultimately reckoned the principals were just a bit on the strong side to be throwing money away!

Same

Kargese was in front a bit early for my liking but clearly a Graded horse in a handicap especially after her Ascot conqueror was third in the mares - I suspect had she run there she’d have been second to Lossiemouth.

I like the look of Wingmen in the AB. He's not the type I'd usually go for in this race but he's got some good bits of form against horses shorter in the market. Elliott's form is putting me off, for all he's hit the crossbar a few times. Derryhassen Paddy another I like.

Rather baffled by the ride given to Wendigo and The Big Westerner looked a bit unlucky but JDV saw her off well from the last . Love Derryhassen Paddy he looks like a proper chaser for next year.

I checked after the third race, and Willie Mullins hasn't got a runner in the Hunter Chase. He's now won the first four races with the Gold Cup coming next and the " good thing " from France in the Martin Pipe Handicap Hurdle.

Course form is worth its weight in gold as usual. Benefitted from a step up in trip which made his jumping less important.

JDV better today though - I now see Daryl Jacob had been telling everyone in a preview his jumping was much sharpened up - Argento Bay jumped appallingly badly once he made a mistake .

Not quite sure Rachael would have had The Big Westerner in that position right on the rail after the second last - she tends to ease them out a bit .
