The Derby 2008

I'm quite surprised the early pace has been deemed slow. Quite a few were ridden along quite vigorously to get to the front. Maybe it slowed up a fair bit after that.

Does anyone have the sections compared with the other races run round the bend on the day?

I think he's a little better than he showed at Epsom Andrew, but agree he's not quite Top class, as i stated on Coronation thread, imo he's similar to Shirocco
 
I think Getaway may be near top class on a straight track like Newmarket but he didn't handle Epsom at all at may not like Ascot or Goodwood.

I read somewhere last night that all the Derby fractions were slower than par but can't remember where... the last furlong or so looked pretty hot to me!
