The Missing Horses Thread

Yeah what has happened to Voy Por? I've seen nothing about him this year.

He’s not back here yet. He’s in light exercise at Sir Robert’s Sickling Hall Stud and I understand he’ll return here later in the season. He’s been a wonderful servant over the years, but the latest season was a difficult one, when he struggled to regainhis high-class form. I hope he can bounce back.-25/10/10.

Maybe we could create a thread for all of those horses that we wonder if we will ever see again.

And what are they going to do with the Package?

’ve always thought an awful lot of him and I believe there’s further improvement to come in staying handicap chases. We thought he’d run a big race in the William Hill at Cheltenham and the post came one stride too soon, but it was a great effort. We then fancied him for the National, but although he’s a very good jumper of park-course fences, it took him a while to adapt to the National ones. He unseated Graham Lee at the 19th, but four or five fences earlier Graham said he was just beginning to warm to his task, although they were a fair way back at the time. While I wouldn’t rule out a return to Liverpool, there are other important targets first; he could start in the Badger Ales at Wincanton or the 3m3f handicap at the Paddy Power meeting; he’ll also be entered for the Hennessy. With his talent go some quirky traits; he’s difficult to get right, becomes easily excited and we have to keep him as relaxed as possible. Ironically, in the Bet365 at Sandown he was almost too relaxed and never got into it.He’s in good form at present and I just hope we can keep him that way as he’s well capable of popping up in a big long-distance handicap.-18/10/10.

Shining Gale broke down badly when winning at Haydock last year. I wouldn't be surprised if they'd retired Rippling Ring tbh.

Franchoek.
Hasn't been out since finishing 2nd at Worcester and not featured in the King stable tour a couple of months back.

Yes - I remember him. Sadly, he's dead (according to the RP's data) at the age of only 5, but not through racing. Perhaps something at home double-barrelled him.
