The Missing Horses Thread

Irish horse - something-or-other ROADMAKER (long name)? And OILY COLEMAN or however it's spelled? Lost track of what they're doing, along with how to spell their names!

Waiting for An Siorrac to return myself - mention that he'd be back in a point or a HC in Jan/Feb when Enda Bolger was interviewed last month so hopefully we'll see him soon.

She has had several sons / daughters. None of them much good:

Linoora brutal for bolger
Kayanoora brutal for bolger
Dramadoir won maiden for bolger. Moderate hurdler
Nordic Abu brutal for bolger
Celtic Dancer useless on the flat for bolger. Useless hurdler for Jonjo
Dance Theatre 78 on flat for bolger. Useless hurdler for Henrietta
Santamani useless on the flat for bolger.

Hmm, no, pretty sure it wasn't NUZUM from the Roadmaker family, but great to have an update, anyway! Thanks for trying. I think I'll start a 'Where Are They Now?' quest for some marvels of the past. I tried to find ICANOPIT but strangely no reference at all on the RP, which is nuts. Nice wee chap from the 1990s.

Shiva had Eccentricity by Kingmambo (with Cecil) who was a talking horse but only placed in a Nottingham maiden (mid 90s)
Cecil was also sent the Giant's Causeway filly Tymora (who was no good for him last season as a 3yo) and Mahayogin (who didn't see the track for him last year as a 2yo).
Storm Cat gave her a colt (now a gelding) called Yangon, who is handicapping in France as a 4yo off a mark in the 60s. One win in Deauville.

Bold Fire who raced for Paul nicholls, must have offspring by now, I remember someone on here telling me she had been sold for breeding etc

Returning Cork All Star aimed at Cheltenham

By Tony Elves 8:37AM 5 JAN 2011
CORK ALL STAR, winner of the Weatherbys Champion Bumper in 2007, could bid for more Cheltenham Festival glory in the Christie's Foxhunter Chase.
The nine-year-old, formerly trained by Jessica Harrington, has not raced under rules since November 2008, but returned to action in a point-to-point at Cottenham on Sunday.
New trainer Joanna Quinlan said on Wednesday: "He had been at home at [his owner's] Swordlestown Stud for over two years after picking up a knee injury and he came to me six weeks ago. He is perfectly sound now and has delighted us with everything he has done.
"The aim is run in the open point-to-point for men at Highham at the end of the month and then we aim to run in a hunter chase at Fakenham or Huntingdon.
"If he qualifies we want to run him in the Christie's Foxhunter at Cheltenham and then the big hunter chase at Punchestown."

Saw him at Cottenham Granger (there's a thread from a couple of weeks ago) - he looked great and looks to have retained a lot of his ability. Was a bit of a worry that in a race of that nature that 6/4 was freely available before the off and the connections didn't back him mind.

Imagine Jack Quinlan will keep the ride if they get him qualified for Cheltenham (needs one more Open P2P win).

The Higham race is 30th January btw and will update the thread when I know the result.

Bold Fire was one of my absolute favourites - a cracking mare. Had a tour of the yard once and she was extremely friendly too.

Anyone know anything of the offspring of Dress to Thrill, brilliant racemare of Dermot Welds, won group 1s if i remember correctly, think she also won in America before finishing off with a couple of runs for an American trainer. Owned by Moyglare Stud when she ran.

Dress To Thrill

Foreign Policy (4yo) - not registered on the RP site.
Ki Maniere (6yo) - unraced for Weld
Primadona (3yo 2011) - by Galileo, unraced for Weld
Sporting Icon - 1 run in March 2009 for Weld

re dress to thrill - broodmare, and seems still be owned by moyglare. had one runner with weld so far in rp database, ran in 09 called sporting icon. two more went via sales
