The NH Season 2013 /2014.........proper

I think they will run both.. Mouse was going mental last year telling everyone he was running in the wrong race.

Willie Mullins states Annie Power (top price 16s for Arkle & 25s for RSA) will stay over hurdles this season

Must be worth a look for the Mares?
be interesting to see how mullins plays it. imagine he has quevega going for number 6 in that and as such won't be saddling any danger to her.

either way, she looked a very smart prospect last year and one to keep an eye on.

He has four other horses, owned by his other half, listed as having run in NH flat races.

Robbie Power did the steering on the Shantou gelding. A 9/2 shot, Carriganog, who'd shown promise in a couple of bumpers, led entering the straight and despite being a bit green before the last went on to comprehensively defeat Roman General by five lengths.

Power reported: "He'll improve a lot for the experience as he's still a big baby.

"We had him for about three weeks and we did most of the schooling with him. Aidan sent him up to us (Robbie and his father, the legendary Con) as he'd been a bit tricky in his bumpers.

"He was always good from day one – a natural to jump. He's a very nice horse, hopefully with a bright future."

The above would make you wonder...Robbie Power basically saying he trained the horse for last month. What is different between that and the various smaller trainers being pilloried for the same offence? Different strokes for different folks...HRI would want to tighten up around this issue and stop making examples of small trainers.

A cracking field for the big race at Gowran on Saturday, Sizing Europe, Quito de la Roque, Roi de Mee, Baily Green and Rubi Light are all among the runners.

Philip Fenton is hoping Last Instalment will be ready to return to action from injury around Christmas time.
The eight-year-old is back cantering after being sidelined with a tendon injury since taking his unbeaten record over fences to four in the Dr P.J. Moriarty Novice Chase at Leopardstown in February 2012.

"All is well with Last Instalment. He's cantering and it's so far so good. His legs seem to be all good," said the Co Tipperary handler.

"All being well we might have Last Instalment out before Christmas, but no plans have been made yet."

Fenton is looking to the New Year before Dunguib will make his comeback.

The 2009 Cheltenham Champion Bumper hero has been off the track since finishing eighth to Hurricane Fly in the Champion Hurdle in March 2011.

"Dunguib is still doing roadwork and will be on the roads until the end of this month," he said.

"It will be Christmas before Last Instalment will be ready and it will be after Christmas before Dunguib is seen out."

Seriously under rated horse Granger - sadly probably needs soft/heavy ground to be seen at his best but wouldn't surprise me if he picked up a soft ground Grade 1 in Ireland at 3 miles this season.

Willie Mullins plans to "keep things simple" with Hurricane Fly who is likely to make a return in next month's Morgiana Hurdle.

Good point trefflich. Well said.

Thanks, this kind of inequality bothers me. Imagine the headlines if you had a yoke in training with Willie Codd and got Joseph O'Brien to ride it one day. Jockey later reports after winning that he has been training it in Ballydoyle for the last month! I know the big boys fund the game but come on HRI!
