The Nicky Henderson Thread

There looks like a decent handicap hurdle at Catterick next week, Hendo has Cup Final running, his last race in mid December looks good form going by events since.
 
Pity we're not seeing Baden at Ascot tomorrow. Left a favourable impression on me when 2nd at Cheltenham on his debut running green.

I'm sure NJH has his reasons but it does seem like a lot of his are being pulled out of possible engagements at the moment. Possibly the ground but he's not blaming that for P&C to name but one

But my second hobby is cryptic crosswords. Trying to decipher Hendo is like trying to do the Mephisto. :lol:

well its getting to the point where it don't matter what he says..because he just seems scared to run horses

i wonder if its traineritis..a bit like dartitis..he is ok entering horses..but when it comes to running them....he just can't let go

I think that has some truth in it. The tears etc after big wins are sheer relief that he hasn't gone at the game. The domination of Mullins probably hurts more for him with the likes of Munir having dipped their toe with him. He is genuinely scared to lose with his dwindling number of top class horses

Nicky is not running many horses at the moment for the same reason Jonjo isn't. Sh!tty ground and waether.

Peace and Co, Altior, Buveur D'Air, MTOY, Sprinter Sacre, Hargam, Top Notch, Bobs Worth, Ma Filleule and Simonsig are all on course for Cheltenham. There are trainers who would kill for that lot to be moved into their yard.

Things don't always work out as planned but the situation was Peace and co Hargam Top Notch and MTOY were all potential Champion Hurdle horses so had he bought a bundle of novices this preseason and the developed into the same......what a mess that could turn into. Could still do with the 2 novices he has now both potential Supreme winners

So they cleaned up 7 barrows getting rid of over 50 horses and buying less than normal pre season but that was through choice.

As soon as is neccessary they have the space to refill and the clients so don't worry NJH is going nowhere and will continue to top the million pound mark every season for the foreseeable future.

there will only be thee and me watching it Kauto..show has been panned for years on here..no one watches
 
Anyone know what else mick fitz does...i may be wrong but i get the impression fitz needs tv more than tv needs him...great jockey..boring presenter
 
He gets in everywhere though, I just know he's going to be part of the ITV set up, I can feel it in my water.
 
I know nothing about the ITV set up but if I wanted a team on tv I would have.......1. Rory Delargy. 2 Terry Norman the only man capable of getting a word in when Rory is around. 3. Mick Naughton to keep the place in order. 4. Chris Pilmott to cause enough havoc to make sure Mick naughton has a job to do. 5. Daivid Cleary the best judge in the country.


Rory a man with unlimited knowledge, Terry Norman and extraordinary good judge who tells it the way it is. Mick naughton a great personality with a great sense of humour plus I played gold with him. Pimmy. He's as crazy and John Francome was back in his riding days. Funny as hell but far from stupid....great assess to any show. David Cleary a Gentelman who has no equal around the paddocks.

What a team...start on Monday.

I hear what you are saying but thankfully he doesn't depend on it.

He only had 2 winners last year and 1 the year before that Tiggers......but he's still winning plenty others
