Blokes, who despite having a girlfriend, when they go out with their mates continue to "chat up beautiful women and follow them round town" and then put in on facebook for girlfriend to see :mad::mad:

The Beeb is the UK's national broadcaster. It's undertaken to involve people with strong regional accents, which is fine, since it reflects our nation more truly than the fraffly-fraffly brigade used to do, but it is in no way supposed to let sloppy, lazy, and just plain inaccurate language past its monitors.

And Radio Five "presenters" who think they are oh so ironic...

And the bit at just before seven when Peter Allen and his airhead co presenter (who is an improvement on the vile Jane Garvey, who should have had her head sawn off slowly with a rusty hacksaw), try to take the piss out of someone who has "a hobby".

"so you grow Fuschias do you? " (snigger)"

"yes,so what you smug cnt"

In fact a very very nice Yorkshireman was asked that the other week and gave an excellent and lucid response.

Annoying thing is R5's coverage is good...but there is a genuine case for throwing some of the presenters into acid baths

While we're machine-gunning the BBC, I wish someone would tell their presenters not to say, "So it's goodbye from (John/Jane) and I."

It's "(John/Jane) and me", ffs!!!

Thank you, DO - I fear it'd be a mighty long list were I to rant and rave about all of their linguistic shortcomings.

And the overall "me and X" that's becoming so prevalent now. I was taught that it was not only grammatical crap, but also bad manners, to refer to yourself first in speech, but it's so common now - "Me and him are going down town", "Me and her were on the beach first" - wtf is all that about?

People who can't leave their phones away when out socialising (usually put on nearby table)

People who use the word 'facebook' as a verb.

All social networking websites.

Stamp Duty is a disgrace. Most especially when targeted at above 250k at 3 fcking %. Has it ever occured to Brown that just about every property in the SE is above that level? And that it is seen as purely a spite tax and is a complete and total vote loser? If they ahve to have this vile tax at all, it should obviously be same level across all propertys

Brown is an idiot.

And promoting Harman to higher profile in election campaign? Unbelievable. The thickest and most laughed at "politician" in the country (and thats saying something)

I'm with Hamm on using words like Facebook as verbs, like 'I'll action that'. I'm also amazed at how insecure people are that they can't attend any function without having their mobiles switched on. I get so pissed off when you're out, having a nice chat over lunch and the mobi blarts. "Oh, hold on a minute," they go, just as you're telling them you've got two months to live - "It's my son, reminding me to get that CD he wanted." While the lazy twonk lies on a sofa at home, X-boxing with his equally supine pals.

Totally agree about mobile phones on nights out. Family occasions are worse because you think your ain folk should know better.

People who use SameTime in work to "chat" about nonsense (or, worse, gossip about co-workers) when they are sometimes sitting within a stone's throw. Wait for lunch.

Women are particularly prone to this sort of crap.

Was your problem that there snow being thrown at you or that the said person had no father?
