Vautour is s machine
Un De Sceaux is going to hack up at Thurles and the sound bytes will scream "It's the Arkle stupid".

We KNOW both cannot run in the Arkle but who is more likely to run in it? It's not rocket science is it? The ground on day one will in all probability be on the soft side of good which is perfect for UDS. You'd also be very confident that two miles is his only option at the festival. He is long odds on to run in the Arkle. What does this mean for Vautour? He is a beast! Any trip, any ground wouldn't get this horse beat. He will hack up in the JLT. 'Shrewd' bettors are sniffing around taking prices on him for the Champion Chase but that's just not Willie Mullins style so he's odds on to run in the JLT.

If you agree so far then the only question is how to maximise your return on this and it's quite simple. By doubling Un De Sceaux 4/1 for the Arkle and Vautour 3/1 for the JLT you are getting laid 19/1 on a double that is completely related because one horses target is a function of the other horses running plans.

Be smart and take this oppurtunity to lock in massive value now.

Nice one Slim, I'm on too. I thought I was being the smart fella when I saw 888 Sport were offering 10/3 Vautour !
Deposited the funds and ready to place the double at a slightly better price, but they would not allow the combined bet!
Got on no bother with Ladbrokes, Skybet & BF Sportsbook at 19/1 the Double. Cheers.

888.com do a lot wrong but they are right on this one. It's a terrible bet to lay.

I wouldn't include any non-Willie Mullins horse. Richard Hughes mentioned the possibility of TTT skipping Cheltenham.

Supreme Novices Hurdle – Outright Allez Colombieres @ 10/1
Neptune Investments Novices Hurdle – Outright Shaneshill @ 8/1
JLT Novices Chase – Outright Vautour @ 7/2
Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle – Outright Black Hercules @ 10/1 –
Arkle Challenge Trophy – Outright Un de Sceaux @ 4/1 –

These are the ones I'm combining. Right now though the double is still the most outstanding ante post bet you can place today.

The 8/1 Hills offering for UDS to go the season unbeaten could take some beating considering the only dangers are;
a) he falls, in which case the Arkle will be a tough test and
b) another WPM horse and given the man's nature UDS will surely avoid any meaningful contender(s) that could test him, i.e. Vautour

I have to admit though, I'll be severely disappointed if yet again the Ricci's allow another potential superstar to miss out on the top prize because there happens to be another horse in the yard (owned elsewhere) similarly suited to the same conditions. The JLT has gained in significance but it's still not the Arkle.

Vautour doesn't strike me as a horse who'll ever find 3m+ his optimum so what happens in 2016, Queen Mother for UDS & Ryanair for Vautour ?

What happened ?

Couldn't get to watch it but he must have fell as not in first 3 on RP fast results and now as big as 6s for the Arkle ?

Yes, I daresay you have other things to care about Slim.

Like the fact that the double now pays 27/1 :ninja: for a start...

I think the situation with the hurdlers is a little more fluid and we can't be sure where (or if) Tell Us More and Open Eagle are going. I'd be more inclined to do Shaneshill at 7/1 to win any Festival race.
