Todays Racing

This time last year if someone had said Hunt Ball would win on Aintree Thursday you'd have thought Betfair Bowl not a poxy race at Taunton

Looking at today's shite jumps cards there must be a case for moving the Cheltenham april meeting which bizarrely clashes with the Craven to this weekend .

I have to say this is the 3rd time I agree with Ardross in less than a month.

It must be one of the two or three least interesting Saturdays of the year.

It is a very good chance to stay with your wife and it looks like You are a proper family man prepare to miss a good card.......
Thats my plan for today

I posted this on the RP's timeline on Facebook just now:

A better idea on a terrible days racing like this Saturday (my Twitter timeline is as ever full of tips and selections even though it's Conference level racing today) is have a bet today through our App and if your selection loses you get a free bet for half of your stake on either the Scots National, Punchestown Gold Cup or either Guineas.

I suspect if the Kempton card were on turf as in the old days it would not seem so shite .

Kempton AW is just crap for races with big fields when the horses are any good . Always seems to lead to traffic problems and boring races.

Really competitive renewal of the Ganay today. No really outstanding performer in it and you could really give a chance to half a dozen of them. I think Saonois might be overpriced at around 17/2 on the machine. He hated the ground in the Arc.

Difficult to know which will be ready, but Pastorius travels from Germany, and has a top local jockey booked.
