What are you backing Today? Part 2

I've been busy at the radio all day mate and I forgot he was running, so no I didn't, I put 500 win on him for the Plate at the Festival on the ante post competition at 25s, I'll have to settle for that.

Although he would need cut in the ground and he's probably rated high enough now.

How did he win? Impressive?

Won that easy off 146. Colonel Harry is off 148 tomorrow and on their Henry VIII runs you'd have to say he's well handicapped.

He's in the December Gold Cup in a fortnight.

I may well back him for that and hope a bit of rain arrives.

I have to back Donny Boy in that. He's been eye catching twice at Ayr jumping to his right so ideally I'd prefer him the other way round but I think the form behind White Rhino last time (where this tendency was very marked) and in the race Sharjah won in the spring is decent enough.

Hmmm. Dilemmas. White Rhino is on my tracker list. I think he's very interesting.

Does Neon Moon have a chance in this?

Having followed Frero over many cliffs I deserted him today and backed Donny Boy who must have clouted all the fences he jumped before being pulled up. Who knew Venetian had been running Frero over the wrong trip all that time

Looks like you did Marb well done

I have to say I agree with Euro.how could frero banbou win over 3m.i thought they should drop it back to 2m.
But just before the off I had a free £5 bet so I stuck it on him.

Many years ago Gordon Richards hept running one over 2m 4f and it kept getting caught so I decided to stop backing him until they did.so next run he skated up at 10/1 over 3m.

Frero was very well handicapped on his best form wasn't he, rated in the 140s at the start of this year, ran off 127 today, and had good form in the book too.

Which is why I felt confident last time at Aintree. I just figured he was worth another go. No punter could prove he would stay the 3 miles today, it was a case of pays your money take your chance.

Venetia must have thought so. If he'd came nowhere people would be critisizing her for running him over the wrong trip. It's a good piece of training if you ask me.

I
Be that as it may, I'm thinking that perhaps the horse didn't stay after all.
Running him in that race just because Daysalrightgino won it the year before was retarded.

Frero Ballbag winning that on Cloudy Glen day was apt. I think if Venetia didn't exist by lifetime ROI is 2 points better, she's been that much of a killer.
