What are you backing Today? Part 2

I was tempted by Ansam too, V, because, as you point out, they are closely matched. The going has just tipped it in Staturio's favour, imo. It may be that Ansam would prefer more juice in the ground. Staturio won this last year and is a bit of a course specialist.
Nice going and spot on about Annsam needing more juice as he didn’t seem to enjoy the ground at all

The usual Monday mediocrity but there are three that I think might offer something at ok prices:

Woolhampton - Windsor 7.00 9/1
Admiral D - Pontefract 8.20 7/1
Nowhere - Windsor 8.30 8/1

That'll be a little Ew patent

I'm seeing stars (through the clouds).

SALI 3:00 SPANISH STAR
Needs rain. With a strong pace, GDsft (or maybe even genuine GD) might make it worthy of another chance of this low mark. GDSFT would be great, but that doesn't look likely at all.

CATT 7:10 STAR ZIA
Needs the rain to stay away (has been a few short light showers during the night). GDfm would make it worth a chance, Should have zero issue with the extra furlong.

Both would be EW bets to smallish stakes, but I just can't see the weather Gods being onside today. Star Zia looks potentially best of the pair based on the likely ground. Saying that, Tom Eaves riding and it's overall clockings are negatives, but providing ground is just on fast side (or quicker) can get involved in finish. I think they'll cut each others throats upfront to some degree (probably in both races).

Another Gary and Josh Moore favourite job.

Junkanoo - 7.20 Fontwell 15/8

A shortie but if you like that sort of thing, it's worth a look. Naturally, one's eye is taken by the first - time handicapper from the same stable, lurking on bottom weight but I thought Junkanoo showed a little glimmer lto on the flat at Goodwood.

The name of the third horse was a bit of an omen, wasn't it?

Catch anything? Or isn't that the point? Bob and Paul seem to just love being outside and chilling. Mind you, they do get excited when they get a catch. Not that Ted would notice lol.

That's an accepted question in our house. I walk through the door after I've been fishing & my wife, in her best Yorkshire accent, enquires "caught 'owt?" To be boring (something I'm very easily capable of) I caught Common carp (first chuck), mirror carp, roach, chub, ide, hybrids & lots of annoying little perch. Slept VERY soundly.

Of course. The scandal continues and no one cares.
I was reminded recently that non runners do not reduce the place numbers in the Betfair each way market. It still pays 3 places.
It's not very often, given the incentives offered by bookies, that the Betfair each way market looks advantageous, and it's not often very liquid, but that rule is worth remembering for 8 runner races I reckon.
