What are you backing Today? Part 2

Good work, Steve. Well done.

I'm on a sabbatical, but the Thyestes Chase is on Thursday.

Stormy Judge is a hard horse to put too much faith in. He won a couple of chases some four years ago, was raised to a mark in the high 130's, started favourite for a Scottish National, where ultimately he was a disappointment, but on the whole it's hard to believe that's he's only ran over fences half a dozen times since 2021. If he's had issues off the track that would probably explain this.

All that said, somehow he finished fourth in this event last year at Gowran, off a significantly higher mark. I've also got Pat Fahy down as a good trainer to follow in these long distance chases for some reason. The seven pound claimer Harry Sexton takes off another 7lbs, so effectively this horse races off a mark of 120.

I hope Stormy Judge can put his best foot forward. If he does I think he's handicapped to run well. He does need one horse to come out as he's currently first reserve.
