Aesthete 2.50 Newmarket

Last 2 furlongs out at Newbury in last race he came romping through the field to finish a decent third and the extra furlong today should suit him.

Well, what to say? I suppose “you don’t usually see them tailed off in a 7 furlong race” about sums it up (him and the steamer favourite together).

Stewards Report:
Following the race, Callum Shepherd reported that AESTHETE, which started second favourite and finished unplaced, ran freely to post, too freely during the race and subsequently stopped quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the colt shortly after the race failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Surprised that they don’t seem to have asked for an explanation of the favourite’s running after all the money coming for him.

Ps: addition to Stewards Report -l William Buick reported that HIGH PEAK (IRE), which started favourite and finished unplaced, ran too freely; the colt was routine tested.” That’s it, no questions asked.

RP analysis supports that view, B.. went off too quickly and folded tamely

Plenty of pace in Thirsk's 2.30, which should suit Aberama Gold well. Won 28k lstd at York last backend and contested group races since. Promising run back at York last month, albeit over the wrong distance.
12/1 freely available.

The Chester going is in the lap of the gods but, assuming it won't change much before the 5.30 Asdaa looks a decent ew prospect (12/1 - 4 places with Hills).
Ran well from a poor draw to finish 4th at Newmarket (having used too much energy to get there). May well make all from his plum draw today.

Dropped out; last most of race, finished well - draw your own conclusions. :)

Additional. Stewards Report;

Joe Fanning reported that ASDAA (IRE), unplaced, stumbled leaving the stalls and he was therefore unable to get a prominent position as intended, adding that he also took a precautionary check on the run to the line as he was concerned about running onto the heels of GABRIAL THE SAINT (IRE), placed fourth, which was edging left on the approach to the bend shortly after the winning line.

Thanks for that,B
Couldn't see any stumble on the replay, so I'll retain an open mind. Horse goes in my tracker, anway.

5th and 2nd.i think sir hamilton would have won under a stronger jockey.

Zihaam 4.10B has won 2 races over this C&D recently by sitting out the back off a good pace, then picking up the pieces. Wasn't suited by steady early at Donny lto, where the leaders ran away from him.
Looks a useful ew punt at b365's 16/1.

Good Luck

4.20 Kempton-Burke And Wills

Each Way @ 11-2 [Bet 365]

Still green but has the most scope in the field to progress

Shoukd have mentioned: ATR is forecasting a strong pace. today.

Thanks,L.
Nothing on Raceday Live to indicate rain, and a couple (averse to fast ground) taken out because of going.
Took 22s with betfair sportsbook earlier.

Backing Brentford Hope 4.55K. First time out last year I had him down as a serious Derby Contender with his speed rating. Injury curtailed until his York comeback this year where he travelled all over the field before lack of fitness told. I expect to see him make up into pattern class so he should take care of these. My only slight concern is he will be held up off the pace which is holding up today at Kempton hopefully the usual Spencer thing doesn't occur!

I backed him on trust last night, but lost heart today when I saw him at 9/4. He would be more likely 4/9 if he was expected to confirm last year’s promise.
