What Are You Listening To Now?

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - The Lyre Of Orpheus. Interspersed with various bits of conversation & whistles from the bird...

Ever seen them live, Euro? Quite an experience.

Live is indeed a very good band. My favorite album is The Distance to Here.

The Indie 500 on VH2. Top 500 Indie songs of all time. Have just listened to the top 30 tonight. A really good production which when it was aired originally I managed to catch about 300 of the songs over one weekend.

Like all of these things they are subjective - but the one let down for me was

Kaisercheifs - I predict a riot @ #2; with
Oasis - Live Forever (live at Gleneagles) @ #29.
Someone needs sacking!

Great Smith's song at #1 mind.

Up early this morning...insomnia mainly. Been listening to;

High On Fire - Blessed Black Wings
Thelonius Monk Quartet With John Coltrane - Live at Carnegie Hall (1957)
Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast.
