What are you watching

Went to see Paul Merton and Impro Chums last night - very , very funny. (Saw him, Josie Lawrence etc at the Comedy Store many years ago, brilliant night) On tour , worth catching them if you can and your sort of thing. Or not even. It's a B****t free zone as well. :)

Mentioning Josie Lawerence wafts me back to watching whos line is it anyway. Havent heard that name for years. I don't watch much T.V these days so i lose touch with who's still about but i used to love Josie.

Whose line is it was brilliant - Ryan styles was my favourite by miles ( and the genius of Richard vranch on the piano!) . Never really liked the US version although that’s on amazon

Very dangerous coming on this thread. I haven't got Sky so I'm trying to avoid watching the final season/spoilers until I'm in a position where I can watch two or three at a time in a week or so. I read ASOIAF before the the show was transmitted so naturally I'm curious how they'll end it - I don't think George ever will sadly. I must say they have done a magnificent job translating such an epic story onto the screen. I'd put it third behind Breaking Bad and The Sopranos but it could pass the latter with a strong ending.

Line of Duty I'm also avoiding until it's all over, I can't do one week at a time. I'd have that show in my top ten as well.

Catching up on Fleabag to see what all the fuss is about. Quite amusing but doubt I will be watching with my mother! Bit risque for that!

I admit the trailers had me thinking it looked good and I thought about watching it but I caught two minutes while channel-hopping and decided that was enough. And I'm nowhere near as prudish as I sometimes make out.

Just finished binge watching the two series today (gone down with a sore throat and cold so excused moment of idleness). Have to say it's extremely well observed and written. The girl that plays her wrote it (and adapted script for Killing Eve I believe). Huge talent both as a actress and writer. I will admit the first couple of episodes are a little more than you'd encourage your granny to watch but it doesn't really continue like that. I thought it was excellent.

Talking about Josie Lawrence, and using the cricket link, I watched the entire series of Outside Edge again a few months ago, and loved it just as much the second time around.

I made a very rare visit to the cinema yesterday to see Bohemian Rhapsody.

It's a good watch and well made but I just wonder if I'll view it in the same way as I did Walk The Line, in the sense that I thoroughly liked the film at the time and even bought the DVD but I've never watched as I now know the story and don't feel the need to watch it again.

It was a very sympathetic and toned-down story of Freddy M's life away from the group (and of course the music is just brilliant anyway) which I quite liked as it made it accessible to a younger audience. If it makes teenagers more interested in that kind of music (rather than the crud they listen to these days) it can't be a bad thing.

I would recommend it.

Finally got to see it; started watching A Star is Born but got bored within a few minutes so switched to BR. Absolutely loved it while at the same time feeling slightly annoyed at how wrong a lot of it was [eg they never split up; Freddie never walked away from them etc etc]. Don't really like their music but have been humming all the songs for days now, which is a bit irritating. Almost seemed a bit like a Curtis romcom albeit missing the drive to the airport at the end. Will probably watch it again. The Live Aid concert is one of the stand out events in my life which is probably why some of the economy with facts grated on me....

Not seen BR but it's brought to mind 'Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll' a brilliant portrayal of Ian Dury by Andy Serkis

This comment got me thinking as to what became of Tony Slattery from Whose Line... Then this pops up today in the Gruinard out of the blue. Very tragic and TBH - I don't see a lot of light at the end of his tunnel.

Billions has been very good

Line of Duty superb

I've yet to see the most recent Luther

That’s cool, I’ve not watched it yet either - too scared (!) it’s on my recorded pile, we can watch it after you’ve cleaned kirsty’s stables and my car... ;)
