It's causing no end of problems it would appear with all our staff that are based in Swindon and Aylesbury unable to make it in so yours truly is drafted in to do a few hours covering the racing (which I don't mind).

We've taken a fair amount in Bicester now, (I'd say about 6 inches and still falling). I'm really struggling to believe they can Newbury on to be honest

I am so jealous.... Tracy's on her way here this morning to take some photos and I had a lovely vision yesterday of some of stunning pix of the foal pratting about in the snow....

Bah B)

Great photos, everyone. :) Anyone got any more....?

DG, could we ask if that snowman is modelled on anyone we know....

Songsheet, looking forward to seeing the foal photos snow or no snow....

A little rain in town and now brilliantly sunny with creamy cumulus clouds sailing majestically out to sea.

Wonderful pix from everyone! Griffs, that one of Georgina in the snow has GOT to be on next year's Christmas card - it's brilliant, and she'll love to see that later in life, I'm sure. Love the snowmen - well done, Mrs Geezer - but where's the carrot nose, guys?

Just a few more from this morning's walk. One for Gareth showing Barney when he is not posing and was actually trying to catch snowballs! One for Songsheet with some cows in the distance.

There was just an enormous snowball fight outside my house. About 15 kids. I took 'em on and had a great time!

Mm.....well this is what the Beast of Cheltenham thought of it

Arkwright, they smashed me. I ended up in a ball on the floor while they pounded me. I got a few good shots in though...

Mr GG threw snowballs at me this morning  Even the kids complained that he was being too competitive

Yeh we had a massive snowball fight in the yard aswell this morning, god knows how there weren't any injuries, i was glad when i managed to disapear into the office after brekfast!! and they say the kids are bad! The school is closed but thankfully my friend who takes her to school kept her till i finished work, its her little girls 4th birthday today and they've been sledging, and building snowmen, probably the first time they have. Was meant to go to Newbury to do the shopping today, but no chance! We're going to have a walk up the village on the sledge and have a bit of fun instead!

Oh and for anyone whose interested in the chances of Newbury going ahead heres the local paper http://www.newburytoday.co.uk i doubt it somehow, or it'll be pretty soft once if it melts

Oooh Kathy, find out who those cattle belong to - I think there are some Belted Galloways there and I know of a person who is rather keen to have a couple.

No, not me, they're wild feckers and I can't be doing with for ever chasing them!

Widespread panic in Oxted today, with the inch or two of snow that's fallen causing schools and a bank (Natwest, seen their latest tv ad campaign?) to shut down, even though all roads and pavements are clear

I don't remember ever having a day off school as a result of snow, not even during the 1963 winter. What a nation of jessies we've become.
