But some people just can't help themselves - drawn like ignored moths to a flame!
The somewhat weird thing for me is it now really is Wednesday, but I'm not yet sure if it actually feels like it's Wednesday!
But Kempton tonight might yet assist me in obtaining that "yes, here's that Wednesday feeling" department.

I’m now admin on our local Facebook group and I’m glad you have reminded me that it is Wednesday as one of my duties is to remind our residents of which bin to put out tomorrow.

We do have a nice little chalk stream where they used to dunk Witches years ago. It occasionally comes in handy to cool down some of the po-faced miserable old buggers that venture past the gates.

We had several watercress beds locally but all gone now.

I've seen some thread hijacks over the years, but watercress is seldom the device of choice for them - impressive tbf.

Purwell, where I live is a derivative of pure well, of course and you do need clean water to grow watercress. I actually live between two former beds, neither of which is more than half a mile away.

Purwell and Moehat might enjoy a journey on the old Watercress Line (Watercress Line - Heritage Steam Railway) which is not a million miles away from my Hampshire fastness.
Anyway, in a pathetic - and no doubt futile - attempt to get MY thread OFF bloody watercress and back ONTO what I (ME) was talking about. I'm delighted to be able to formally announce that I am in no doubt that it is Saturday today and my fears that I've lost a day - or gained one - somewhere along the line, have been thankfully extinguished.

I love steam railways, Nene Valley Railway in Peterborough is well worth a visit. Another quaint little narrow gauge line is at Leighton Buzzard.
