An object lesson in the difference between a good claimer and a duff one. Admittedly the favourite - clearly a Group horse running in a handicap -was unlucky but the weight allowance has helped immensely for a change. Interesting throwaway line from Mullins: "we'll only put him up in the big races". One to watch for.

Best horse in the race was Changingoftheguard but you have to give credit to the jockey on Sesenta that is some feet.

That's her third decent pot already this year. She won €80k for her win at the Puchestown festival and €50k at the Curragh on Guineas weekend.

Willy Mullins doesn't do anything without a reason. Also, have been keeping an eye on the use of claiming jockeys in big races; Irish National for example.
