Why are so few of Frankels making the track? Maybe im being harsh, but compared to Sir Prancelot the number is small.

They're completely different horses with completely different targets at stud.

Sir Prancealot: commercial early-maturing 2yo types, quantity over quality.

Frankel: later-maturing owner-breeder Classic/middle-distance prospects.

Add to that the massive expectation / hype around Frankel and the added pressure of his early strike rate with no trainer initially wanting to be the one to burst the bubble or unveiling the first Frankel completely incapable of winning a race, plus the fact that some of his first crop, particularly the colts, have shown a bit of his early waywardness/temperament and so probably need a bit more training (how to settle, how to keep their mind on the job etc).

Four FSS winners yesterday:

Curragh 12.55 Khukri (SEPOY)
Newmarket 2.00 Eminent (FRANKEL)
Newmarket 3.10 Urban Fox (FOXWEDGE)
Chelmsford 5.45 Melissa Jane (FOXWEDGE)
