Well, firstly this thread WILL be removed. I guarantee it.

I thought I would revisit this forum in another guise to see if it was me that was at fault previously. Well what I have found is that it is not me completely that was at fault. I have found that unless you are in the clique on here, you are f"cked. I have been on here with many 1000s of posts and earned the respect of a few in that time, but the clique always held sway, always there having a swipe. No matter how long you took at inputting, in the eyes of the biased you were fooked

I can now say that as a newcomer with an opinion to pass, you are totally f"cked at ever getting accepted on here, you have no chance. The swathes of worthies crush you.

I see that as a big stumbling block for this forum, if wanting to move forward. The admin here is superb, I'd be a little more welcoming, if I were you lot, purely out of respect for the person behind this forum, who deserves better than the snidey, hateful, characters that reside here amongst many decent folk.

Like I say, this thread will be removed, but imo, there are lessons to be learned about moving forward from my "new" experience of you guys. It hasn't been a positive experience, that should worry you, unless you are a self obsessed b"stards that cares f"ck all about anything bar yersen and what YOU say.

I won't bother you again, but stuff is not right here, there are people here that will strangle newcomers and retard the forum. I don't want that, I put many hours of posts in here, and to see it be the unfriendly hateful place it is turning into is not savoury.

I know I upset people late on, I'm sorry about that, sincerely, but I like this forum very much.

The admin may be superb in some ways, but they would do better if they curbed the vitriole that deters many folk from bothering to post anything.
 
would that be the vitriole I faced as J Mangold?

Bear in mind all my posts were constructive, they were dismissed and i gained abuse for nothing really. When I posted here as EC I was told I imagined it and I needed treatment. Seems to me that treating certain people like shite is acceptable. Surely this cannot be right.

I have done this exercise to say to all of you, welcome new members without bias or narrow mindedness, new members are life and soul of a forum. All the best guys, this is a good forum, make it better and more welcoming...imo

EC1, I believe I suggested that 'J Mangold seemed a legitimate character' less than a week ago. Seems I was wrong.

Perhaps people, if not seeing through your disguise, viewed some of your posts as wilfully antagonistic? You would do well to consider this aspect, before you determine that the 'clique'* is the problem here, because you have plenty of previous in that regard. There are plenty of new posters who are warmly welcomed and who do not get any grievance.

Good luck with whatever you do next. I was sorry to see you go.

Archielab, barneys happen online. It is the nature of the beast - especially so when strongly-held beliefs (such as opinions on races/horses) are tested - but on TH, they flame-out as quickly as they flare-up, and apologies are generally accepted in good-faith.

I will not take full responsibilty though as its clear that the slightest wrong word against someone here causes a certain kind of nastiness in response.,,far greater than is needed.

Yes..this ID has passed strong opinions, but those opinions should not have had people glad to hold a grudge

grudge holding..is an issue here..maybe its that that needs addressing.

I got what I deserved in the end under my long term ID..i was obnoxious..and I apologise to everyone who thought that..genuinely.

EC1, I think the only person you need to speak to is Diamond Geezer. Maybe a PM sent his way, might lead to some sort of resolution between you, and you can explain yourself to him more fully.

If it's any consolation, I did float the idea of a reprieve for you a few weeks back, but clearly the embers of your departure will still glowing hot, and it (properly) went no further. Maybe if you contacted Roger, this can be resolved positively.

Worth adding that I got a bundle of PMs along the lines of "He's a slavering, clock-watching, Flatulent tosspot - fu*ck him" at the time too, which were hard to fault for accuracy, but - I felt - highly unnecessary too. I mean?.......some things go without saying, right? ;)

Being serious, that's what I meant by antagonistic. In your Mangold guise, you mainly contributed to a thread where you know the author is a borderline psychotic, and who routinely calls people out as guessers, and/or tells them to clear-the-fu*ck-off at the drop of a hat. It is hardly a barometer of the rest of the forum, and it is totally unfair to use the responses you received as a measure of the site as a whole.

As you can see, I average 8 posts a year, so no regulars will give a toss about anything I say and will doubtless already have thought that - even if they bothered to read my brief comment.

However, in my opinion the opening post on this thread is spot on and does not just relate to the recent
experimental J Mangold stuff.
 
Why don't you return as EC1? People take comments and words way too seriously. Like Grasshopper said, just sort things out with Diamond Geezer. And when you do return as EC1 just try and enjoy inputting into this forum. You obviously have followers so focus on giving them what they want, and worry less about perceived enemies and setting out to actually make enemies. The 'clique' thing I don't think is a conspiracy, just some people getting on better with some people, than other people.

Something that made me wary of "J Mangold" was his claim never to have been on any forum when it was obvious the turnip was well used to them. Something else to bear in mind when assessing the reaction here.

It would be good to see EC1 back though, I'd even let him be in my gang.

Agree with Grey. Something very false about the J Mangold character. For what its worth, I enjoyed EC1s posts and dont know the details of the blow up.
 
I am happy to be wrong, but Archielabs post makes me think I am partly right. His post should put out a message though?. I want Archie and his labs posting more, I do not want him feeling lesser.

The forum is better without me, I cause too many issues, I'm high maintenance. I apologise for upset caused in the past, 80+% was me, I'm not suited to this medium, i'm a cnt at times, I wouldn't wanted me staying at the point I went. Just want to say again to anyone I upset..I'm sorry guys..put it down to stupidity on my behalf..in the main.

I'm being as honest as anyone can be here.
