Aftertiming thread

Had an awful day....until the lucky last at Clonmel.

Took 260 on BF on Nelson Muntz in the bumper to win and enough on the 4-place to cover the day's losses. Contracted sharply just before the off all markets.

Semi-gutted, came to win it and might well have done but for getting squeezed out in the last 100 yards or so.

But there's the lesson again. You can't give in, even on a day when nothing is going right. Because...as I always say...the next one is always right around the corner.

Just did crowsatedappletart in running
Was 12/1 but when I pressed bet it went 9/1then as I pressed accept change it went 15/2 then after the bet was on it went back to 12/1. Then 5/1.
Still a nice profit.

Bittersweet aftertiming...

I had a day out at snooker today involving leaving the house very early so last night took 11/4 Zilfee at Kempton. She's a half-sister to Enabled by Sea The Stars and was up against some modest if totally unexposed oppo.

Not long in and just checked the result.

She won at 7/1 and I didn't get the BOG. :poop:

Took 33/1 about Goliath after soumi's interview pre-race
I didn’t hear that but thankfully backed it just before the off. But then watched the race not remembering if I’d backed it or not (was logged out of my account yet again). Which is good because I was down to 7 pence in my account. I had read that it had ran well previously at the track on what might have been unfavourable ground.

Down to 26 pence in my account again today. So I backed a couple of outsiders in the last at Galway that were blue on oddschecker. Just checked my account and Brave Crogha has won at a huge price! Probably my biggest priced winner ever! A few years ago I’d often have a bet in the last race of the day but made a point of not listening to the race and often won. My theory being the God of racing was happy for me to win but my penance was to forgo the pleasure of seeing or hear it.

Alas I didn’t get that. 126/1 (oh for best odds again). If only I’d put more than 3 pence ew on! My account has been hovering round £1 for ages now ( I put £20 in it every couple of years). It’s been like some sort of latent heat of evaporation and I’ve been expecting to have to top it up for weeks. And I’ve still got my 50/1 ante post on Wise Eagle for the Ebor.

Deposited £8 cashed out £225 nice returns for just over an hours punting..

Landed another reverse Forecast. I won with Witchhunter at stupid odds last year. As for the other selection I know Tiber gets in the places all the time. 👍 not bad with some change on here.

Nice one, I'm glad someone won something today!
Im a bit gutted I didnt deposit and back it elsewhere too or use the full balance which was from free spins(£5.70) had other horse combos ews and forecasts in the 1425 and 1500 newbury.

Can I after-time not backing a winner? So I'm doing my racing review after Goodwood and re-watching the Stewards Cup Rohaan initially caught my eye after a tardy start and then his move from the rear of the field to the right hand side of it as he sort of challenged for the places but in re-watching it a few times Dare to Hope was also sticking out as noteworthy given the passage he endured. But I looked at his profile and he seemed a bit exposed over 6f handicaps. I guess I should have gone back and watched some of his other races.
