Aintree

Will he be backable, though?

I've gone low with the Champion Hurdle but have rated TNO upsides the other two. I suspect his finishing kick will be too strong for the field but he wouldn't be very far clear, if clear at all, on bare ratings.

If Annie Power runs the mares' allowance might be crucial and I haven't given up entirely on Grandouet as a proper hurdler. It'll be interesting to see if he runs in this and if so if Geraghty opts for him.
mullins more or less said annie won't go yesterday. had a hard enough race at cheltenham. the fly will surely be saved for the punchestown champion hurdle.

it's a penalty kick for TNO. with a one armed keeper.

Outed as a complete non-stayer at the trip in last year's race. No chance.

:o

Just realised the race is 2m4f. Misread my own printout.

Yes, I agree. he looks like a non-stayer (but I still suspect he might be a better hurdler than Jezki, MTOY & TNO). I just wonder too if chasing will have blunted his speed or will it have taught him to settle better.

Well the price and whether you back is up to you really. Double up with something may be the way to go.

Grandouet's problem is standing up!

Shame More of That is running on Saturday - his Relkeel win showed he was not short of speed and he would have been more than capable of putting it up to TNO .

Cue Card, who may have been injured in the process, stopped in the KG and Conti was handed the race. The hard race he had in the GC is a major negative as he ran below form in the Bowl last season and that was after a truncated effort at Cheltenham. He'd be far better off waiting for Punchestown.

He ran 'below form' last year because he lacks a change of gear and was ridden out the back after his GC fall. No such problem this year, and - providing he gets his ground - he's much the best horse in the race.
Dynaste won't last home.

SC has no chance, legless on the run in at Cheltenham.

SC is the best horse in the race over this distance but too short when you consider he's had a Gold Cup slog 3 weeks ago while FL sat in his box chilling.

Just not sure on Dynaste. Terrible Ryanair he won really. Menorah a lively outsider if ground stays good.

was the ryanair any worse than the gc or the champion chase ? not sure it was to be honest.

That ran "below form" when beaten less than 2l in the race last year?

Why the ?

I'm not claiming for a minute that he is inferior to Menorah.

He ran below form in this last year and is likely to this year as well given his lack of freshness and faster ground than he likes.

diakali ran well at chelt but shame he is the mullins contender, this race is normally competitive at the high end so real shame to see a 4/11 shot

advance prediction is that tno wins and is given an inflated rating to declare him hurdler of year
