And if there is one part of the training art that Nicky does have licked, it is managing his vets adequately. :whistle:

Besides, it's not an isolated example. There isn't a week goes by when he doesn't bleat that he has 'nowhere to run' his better horses.......a position which is demonstrably untrue when you stick your nose in the Programme Book.

The horse hasn't been pulled because of the ground - he's been pulled because he was allegedly lame this morning.
 
Goodwood Mirage, Ebony Express and Arzal for me.

Arzal would be a good winner for a small trainer, given so much talk of the big guns re-Henderson would be fitting for someone called Harry Whittington to train the winner. :) The race accomodates horses who want to be on the pace, Arzal is one of those.

I learned more from Ricko's and DO's contribution to this topic recently than I would in a year of ML watching. Why not just get one of them to log on here and read those to camera?
 
Both good pieces right enough. Although I don't see how Balgarry can possibly be preferred to Amore Alato given the weight pull from Sandown.

If he wins the big one at Aintree, I'd expect him to stop on the spot.

Wonder if Sam wins the Jockey's championship next with Richard Johnson coming second
