Betfair Chase

I'm happy with the 4s+ I have on Sil Conti. This ground will really suit him.

I want to see TDS run well for my Gold Cup possie also. Great race.

Further to my earlier post I've managed to convince myself to do a Double Ross / Taquin de Seuil reverse forecast. I just feel the race may revolve around these two rather than the big three.

cue card drifted to 5/1.

with last year's race in mind under the same conditions. hard to ignore it. backed.

I've won good money on tds but he still isn't the best jumper for me. Doesnt qute look finished article. Stable isn't firing and he's rated a full stone behind the two leading players. The market is overreacting to the ground IMOIMO

That's a brave shout, Maruco. Hope it pays off for you but I'd have gone for the exacta since you're siding with outsiders. In the big race last week with Present View and Buywise not in the first two the exacta paid twice as much as the csf.

I'd watch Jonjo a bit more carefully..he regularly goes into Cheltenham for instance..out of form..but when the prizemoney is there though..all of sudden..he gets winners

i wouldn't worry about a stone on this ground..he is improving and will relish the test....key players.....too testing for CC..not far enough for Silvo..needs at least 3 miles before motor kicks in

The ground compensates for that. Last year he was staying on at the death and so with a run behind him and deeper ground he should be capable of better. I've had to take some 5s about Cue Card. Excessive drift.

Cue Card's return in the Haldon seems to have differing opinions. I personally thought it was a very satisfactory run, and one I expected.
Clearly the one to beat imo. 5/1 taken

Cue Card is the class of the field, but Heavy ground will be against him - even if the trip is short of 3m.

To be fair, I wouldn't put anyone off backing him, but the race has an odd shape/feel to it, and I'm finding it hard to rule any of them out. I've backed Menorah each-way - though it's very-much based on the form of the yard generally, rather than the horse specifically, and the fact he was a double-figure price.

Maruco; good luck with Double Ross. I backed him at Wetherby, mainly because NTD was stood next to us and I got the feeling he was expecting a big run from him. Haven't had a bet today at all but it will soften the blow if he wins and at least someone was on him.

I've no idea or angle on the race but may as well complete the selection line-up by saying I've had a sporting bet on Medermit e/w!

simple really..those at the front paid hard..real hard

might as well put RDS back hurdling..he's no jumper of fences

nichols says CHall was a prep race..really?..never thought that:)

DJ cost Cue Card a place there. Repeatedly allowed the horse to shorten up in the back straight, costing the horse distance and momentum at a string of fences, something you can't really do in that kind of ground. In a race like that you need to be braver than that.

After the Al Ferof/Bury Parade carry-on, I was shouting Menorah on all the way up the straight. Hard lines to his backers and well done to those who remained loyal to Silviniaco Conti.

Super effort from SC. Good tactics serving it up to CC whose jumping fell apart. Great run by Menorah and nice enough by Dynaste

a great race...made me look forward to the winter jumps

a bit of sand admiring thrown in:)

i'll get Grassy into it yet..i'll rip his Rupert books up if not
